Il be honest, microtransations in halo is pretty much aimed at me. I spend way more on microtransations in games than i really feel comfortable mentioning and being a massive halo fan since 2001, im gonna open that wallet.
But with halo infinite i dont buy many at all. Its not because i dont want the stuff. Its because i dont want to play the game every day in the hope that what i want is coming to the store.
An example would be the mister chief AI. I didnt play when that was in the store. I would have bought it if i did. But i cant purchase it now because the store rotates.
A better system would be to make things purchasable through the customisation screen and instead of updating the shop weekly, just do a weekly discounted item, aka half price or what ever.
I 100% know this would make 343 more money which could help further fund development, hire more staff and get this game moving.
It also gets rid of the FOMO aspect from the store.
I know ingame purchases are a dirty topic but we should be able to talk about better ways to do systems. Hopfully someone at 343 sees this and we can move towards this more consumer friendly version of the store
