Leaving Halo for a while.

So, since this game is incomplete and a little unbalanced and broken, I’m leaving for a while. I’ll play some other games for a month or two.

So why am I making a topic about it? Because I will be back, I want to make no drama and I’m not selling everything Halo-related I own.
Yes, the game is a little incomplete and balanced, but they can’t completely overhaul the game within days.
I implore you, if you are feeling disappointed, cheated or annoyed, do the same as me. Put Halo 4 to the side and move on for a little while. In a month or so, come back, or pop the game back in, and see how you feel.

Too many people are rage quitting and giving up altogether, but it doesn’t need to come to that yet.
If you’re pretty annoyed about the cap, in a few months if it’s still here, then quit. By then you will have begun to move on anyway.
Same with Ranking systems, unbalanced guns and an empty progression system.

That is all. I will see those of you that are staying in a few months. Those that are rage-quitting, I assume I will see you in a few months also. If not, good luck in all you hope to accomplish.

Axios.

I tried Dominion for the first time today. I thought it was another “Regicide” but it actually feels a little more Halo as it has no ordinance drops and weapons on the map. I have played 26 games of it now. Without it, I would probably already be playing another game like Counter Strike or Halo 3 again. I suggest you to try it before you put down your CD.

I might give that a try. I keep wanting to go back to Capture the Flag and King of the Hill but when my team loses, we get completely destroyed. No balance at all.

Yeah I’m leaning that way as well… I’ll probably drop in BTB once in a while but until a major game update is issued I’d rather just not waste my time.

Honestly thinking of going back to Reach. That says a lot. I’ve never ever returned to a previous Halo game.

God lol, what a bunch of whiners.

im considering leaving too, until the lag issues are fixed

>

The point of this is to stop people whining, and to get them to just leave and come back when their problems are sorted out.
Personally, my problem is with the exp cap and a bit of balancing. I haven’t mentioned that, just that I’m leaving for a while until either it’s fixed or I stop caring about it.

The human psych will build up something to be amazing, and when it isn’t, it’s frustrating and disappointing. A large part of this is about that. We spent years since Halo 3 hoping for a Halo 4 that would blow our minds, and no matter how good the game may be, a lot of people can’t see it.
Leaving will allow 343 to fix the game without people raging and ranting all over the forums, and will also give people time to realize that it’s just a game, and there are plenty to choose from.
But most of all, it allows people to think that Halo 4 is behind them. Just as I found with Reach, the moment I came back for one or two matches, it was instantly amazing and fun, because I wasn’t playing off the hype we had before the launch.

I just want people to know that there’s another option other than selling their games and sticking around even though they aren’t having fun.

> So why am I making a topic about it?

Fix’d

I think this is a good idea. I’d rather not frustrate myself so much that I end up resenting Halo… so I’ll step back and go back to Reach, Skyrim and Borderlands 2 for a bit.

Lol for me, I’m leaving HALO 4 forever ! Back on Reach !!!

As long as you guys are not leaving because you’re haters, then it’s fine. I plan to continue playing. There are plenty of things that need fixing but its an incredible game and I’m having a ton of fun with it.

The game has not been out for even two week, get over yourselves. It is a normal thing for a game of this caliber to be glitchy at first.

Think of it this way. If even one person that was going to leave and rage about it on the forums have, instead, read this post and decided to just leave, I have taken up their annoying, useless space in the forums and filled it with something not entirely useful, but not as useless.
If two people see this and just leave and check it out in a few months, rather than posting about how much they hate the game, that’s two useless posts that has been absorbed into one.

We have to face it, some people aren’t happy with the game. What I’m doing is giving them the opportunity to either say their fairwells here, in a fairly rant-free environment, as well as reminding them that things might be different in a few months.

This will mean, in the long run, Halo 4 doesn’t lose as many players based on first-week disappointment. It benefits a lot of people.

And again, we have to face it, a lot of people are not happy. This is my attempt to turn something unpleasant into a manageable, organised agreement that will leave the forums, hopefully, a little cleaner of ranters.

Ÿáý ! =)

I think it would be great for people to start playing Halo 3 again aswell as Halo 4, Halo 3 was always alot of fun for me, I remember once on Sandtrap, I was in trouble, asked my friend to hurry up and get to me, when I died, I viewed his character, and he was driving around to where I was…in an Elephant xD

I think Game developers these days need to go back and view some of the old classics, it wasn’t the graphics that made the games, it was the gameplay/story etc. Graphics are just pretty pictures and useless if the gameplay isn’t there. True there are plenty of issues at the moment, but i’m still playing, because I love Halo, always have done since playing CE for the first time and seeing Co-op campaign, and being able to drive vehicles together with friends etc.

Overall I think 343i have done a wonderful job, but obviously with any new release, title updates will be needed and issues fixed for the game to be 100% enjoyable.

I sold this game for BO II, considering most of the people I know play that game. It is the same game every year, but it is a new experience at the moment, and I am enjoying it. Personally, from a Halo veteran, the switch was pretty easy for me, considering I’ve already gotten really good at the previous Call of Duty game that came out this month.

I think that monday I will do the same thing as you, halo is dead with 343

Ha, passive aggression at its finest. I sure hope the lot of you follow suit, I’ve grown weary reading all of the unwarranted crying that has flooded these (and other) forums. So please, any and all who share the same displeasures take your leave, you’ll be doing a favor for us all. I look forward to the day I can browse these forums without being harassed by ill-conceived notions of imbalance or self-righteous Mountain Dew junkies who need incentive to enjoy a game.

Au revoir! I wish I could say you’ll all be missed, but, ya know, you won’t be.

Dominion is all I can play in War Games without getting terribly frustrated. It still has flaws because of the loadout system, but that’s across the board.

Just like in Reach, all I could play was Invasion. Everything else was just felt wrong. I’d like to think that Armor Abilities play a large role in this.

i will be playing hitman absolution for a bit but only cuz its awesome i still like h4…im so torn!
