Disagree with people responding… the challenges are stupid so I think you are in the right leaving to get the challenge games done.
Other people have Win _ Matches, so by leaving due to “bad challenges” you also add to the bad challenge system.
Exactly. I hate the challenges and have stopped doing weeklys. I would much rather prefer a flat XP system just based on playing the game.
People deliberately throwing, not trying to win, not playing objectives, not using Mics or Marking targets in Ranked and betraying via splatter ruin my game experience, should they be banned too?..
Agreed! It’s ludicrous that a flagship AAA game launched in 2021 after a year of delay without game type selection.
I have yet to resort to that myself and do not plan to, yet I don’t condemn it. Give this game the legacy that it is asking for. Normal matches are not possible under the conditions that have been set and leavers are only one out of a list of reasons.
It is convenient for them if we take out our frustration on eachother, rather than those orchestrating this environment.
To be honest, i always already thought the ‘win’ challenges were bad to start with, because that is something you don’t directly can do yourself, since it’s dependent on who you match up with and match against.
But that doesn’t mean that a quitters (forcing a bot replacement) will throw you the match. If you play it smart, it could even be beneficial sometimes. A bad player you don’t reckognise imidiately (because if you don’t know the player, you don’t know how good he is), but a bot you imidiately know he needs some back up. On top of that the movement of bots are more predictable then for random players, so you know what the bots is probably gonna do, wich makes it easier to back him up.
I have had a match where i needed a team slayer win. The match was very close (i think it was 18-17 or something like that) and a teammate of me quit and we were stuck with a bot for the rest of the match (no new player joined in). I just made the best out of that bot, by giving him back up. That tactic ended up working very well. The bot obviously kept walking into the open, getting attention of an enemy and when that enemy and the bot engaged in battle, i joined in, so often enemy players were outgunned that way. The bot only went 2-4 (i forgot the amound of assists) and my team ended up with an easy win (something like 50-35).
I think if the bots were ODST level, then people could leave social with a bit more flexibility (though it is still rude) however, if you just need to win 5 games, of any type, FFA is the way to go if you don’t want to rely on a team. I have seen tweets asking for a ranked FFA so it is possible we will get one.
