Least favorite npc

Those guys, you know the ones. They drive off cliffs and fire rockets at you. Name your least favorite npc or unit from Halo and which games or engagements that they are or where in. Be it for incompetence, canon, or just their dumb ugly face.

I hate the elites in Halo 2. I never die from enemies, but instead from some idiot spec op who thought he could drive a wraith.

SGT Johnson. The guy goes from being somewhat competent in halo 2 breaking free from capture and stealing a scarab. To halo 3 where he gets captured twice and fails at his one assigned task lowering the shield on the ark. Literally the definition of you had one job. For somebody who was one of the first spartan’s i expected more from him than just lines that would entertain a 13 year old.

Rtas. He leaves whenever you need him most.

And Emile. He is literally no help. He doesn’t seem to grasp the concept that the shotgun is a close range weapon.

Troopers from Reach.

Little combat intelligence, bad burst firing, terrible awareness, etc.

H4 Spartans come in a close second, as they are direct copies of H4 marines, just with shields and different voice lines

I think that was to reflect that he’s aging and growing tired of the war. If you play through Halo 3’s campaign, altogether you realize that he’s a lot less active than he was in Halo 2. It makes sense when you consider that he was born in the late 2400s and he’s been fighting through the entirety of the war. And besides, it wasn’t like Johnson wasn’t captured in Halo 2.

All the friendly AI’s from Halo 4. Their AI is awful compared to the other games and I hate the marine’s designs in Halo 4. Especially the White, Pink errr lightish red, and green marines. I remember seeing one of Gamecheat’s video and the seemed the marines have better AI than the Spartan IV’s.

Can’t forget about Noble team and especially Kat… I honestly think Kat has killed more people than the Covenant with her bad driving.

As much as I like Johnson I have to agree. There was no reason for him to fail to lower the shield on the Ark. He had a full squad with him. I never understood how he failed to disable the shield. I guess Bungie just wanted us to do more work and get the flood involved I suppose.

Johnson got overwhelmed by the Flood…he couldnt disable the shield because of that and MC had to help.

The flood weren’t there yet. The flood showed up after MC disabled the shield. Sgt. Johnson’s team fell to Covenant forces.

"Buggers…go quiet…

ENEMY ECHO TANGOS! -fires off 38 shotgun blasts-"

He’s pretty much the worst. But I love him for it.

I think the worst NPC I ever had was a SPARTAN-IV (and these guys usually do really good by me, and I mean really good) who was like “Hey, lets see what happens when I fire a rocket at my team! Maybe there’s no friendly fire like in War Games!”

Here. You can see them moving up as a team, taking out dudes. Really cool to look at. Then, BOOM! There they go.

Also, this guy.

Moving this to General Discussion. Fits better there.

So Kat. Let’s talk about Kat for a second.

I was doing ONI Sword Base on Legendary one day. I was being all sneaky and crouched behind a rock by one of the AA guns trying to get some good shots on the Elite up on the platform. I hear a Warthog honking but kind of ignore it as I’m still focused on the Elite. Suddenly, out of nowhere, the honking gets louder and Kat comes careening around the corner in the hog and splatters me against the rock I was hiding behind. All while still honking that damn horn to try to get me in the turret.

Oh geez, I haven’t laughed that hard in a while, thanks for sharing those XD That one Spartan doing that dance on the mammoth is really bugged. In Halo 4 he was glitched and would run into a rock wall until he glitched through and died. They fixed it in the MCC but he’s still sort of buggy.
