Least Favorite Campaign Mission in Reach

Which mission is your least favorite AND favorite and why?

Honestly, I didn’t actually like any of the campaign missions except Tip of the Spear, and that still could of had SO much more potential.

Bungie was actually going to implement world wide battles, so you could roam the desert in your warthog, shooting down ghosts with your co-op partners, just like in the second mission of CE where you had to rescue the survivors. You can view ALL the things Reach could’ve been here (skip to 6:30)

Besides the point, though, Reach’s campaign was just a bit lackluster in my expectations. Sorry

Exodus and New Alexandria are tied. Why? Because the AIs you get are completely useless.

Falcon gunners are good to have…

The package because of that horrible light effect.

I can’t say.
Reach has been good to me. Kinda hard to pick and choose.

Tip of the Spear…when you start off, i always get killed by the damn Shade Turrets

Exodus, just not fun to play at all.

Least favorite:

  1. Pillar of Autumn

-all my hated Reach enemies make prominent appearances: Hunters, Skirmishers, Jackals, Drones, Brutes
-everyone is territorial. Troopers that survive will not follow you any further. It’s not like they’d actually be able to contribute but still, I like having them around. Though Emile follows me, his combat/firing range is severely limited
-extremely linear
-Brute waves at MAC cannon. As much as I’d love fighting the Zealots at the end of the level, it isn’t worth enduring this

  1. Exodus

Brutes. I hate Brutes.

  1. The Package

Spending most of my time in a tank. A nightmarish experience.

Then getting back indoors… to come across Jackals, Skirmishers, and Jackal snipers. Only Jun helps out. This nightmare just got worse!

Finally, I have to babysit auto-turrets! (I know they’re optional but they make better distractions than Noble Team)

Most favorite:

  1. TotS

-the Zealot is so fun. Even on Legendary. It’s fun containing him and the 4 Grunts in advance with the nearby weapon crate
-sword Elite at the top of the Spire. Bringing Jorge up the Spire, hijacking a Banshee, and killing the fuel rod Bob Elite are some of the activities I enjoy doing in this area

  1. Nightfall

-getting rid of/blocking Jun
-stealth killing in the 2nd area is an interesting challenge, especially on Legendary
-AI collection
-sniping sleeping turret Grunts without alerting most Covies (distance of 150+ is required to be able to use sniper without alerting enemies)
-assassinating the General
-with Cowbell on, moving Phantom with concussion rifle, causing it to drop off Hunters near the edge. A few shots and they’re knocked off the edge. :stuck_out_tongue:

  1. LNoS

-rally point bravo is where the fun begins
-blocking Covie spawns in advance
-stealth killing in the control room
-blocking Jorge at the last battle
-fighting 4 Ultra Elites at last battle

I finally got to try out Reach on Legendary today due to July 4th giving me an incentive. It’s not as bad as I thought it’d be. There’s raging. There’s bull–Yoink-. But there’s also replayability.

A lot of my saved films in Theater are from TotS.

My Least Favorite Mission is The Package on Legendary because it’s like imposable to get through the mission it’s like 2 shots your dead

My favorite mission is, Tip of the Spear because its like a full on version of what the war is actually like.

NightFall, should barely even be called a “stealthy sniper mission”.

Winter Contingency because it takes so long to get started and unlike previous halos you can’t skip the ride down and have to sit in the chopper until stupid carter gives the go ahead. On heroic you get the option to change momvement settings, but on legendary you get the same waiting period except nothing happens. Much of the level is for driving through with nothing happening. Inability to explore very far off the main roads and short level inside visegrad relay. The area inside should have been at least 30 minutes without the cutscene. That area would have made a nice multiplayer map too.

Most fav is Lone Wolf, too bad it’s designed for you to die fast.
