It’s obvious from my own experience and from the experience of many other, the learning curve for this game is high enough that potential casual players are being severely turned off by this game so far.
Yeah, my wife is an avid player of fps mulitplayer games(casual) but dosen’t like Infinite. I get to play alone on this one.
You could make the argument that higher learning curves improve the longevity of a game. Counter strike for example has a high learning curve and it’s been the staple of the fps genre for 2 decades

This a F2P game. It’s literally meant for filthy casuals.

i know what you mean, but you can’t compare CS with Halo. CS has other properties why so many people play that.
I played with a lot of Casuals CS, and nobody of them want to continue playing CS. Halo itself (and what the devs said in their preview videos) is usually a bit more casual friendly than what we play now in this flight. It’s fun, but it won’t damage Infinite, if it’s get more casual friendly than now.
I’m amongst a group of 4 Halo veterans. I’m the only one who’s come close to getting through the high learning curve and I’m still slightly above average at best.
How the hell are casuals going to take to this game if there’s a substantial amount of dedicated Halo players that can’t even do that?
AR is pretty good think that’s for the casual players to enjoy.

Yup. The low aim assist being a massive problem in this regard. I can’t see casuals going out of their way to play this game and struggle to hit things when they can go to CoD, Fortnite, Siege, Splitgate, Overwatch, or any other console FPS where you can easily aim on default settings right out of the box.

Casuals will enjoy this game just like the rest of Halo titles. The aim assist is just as strong…
