Playground Games are doing weekly streams, talking about new features, vehicles, locations, game modes, etc. They have developers come on and talk about everything that they are doing, and making everything as clear as possible. I am so very hyped for this game, and you know another great thing about it? We got a release date. Now for Halo, this news is so sporadic, we have very little idea what’s actually happening. They gave us bad news the other day, then completely turtled up like they said they wouldn’t do. Then instead of setting expectations and saying at the end of their stream, or anywhere for that matter, that they would not be appearing at Gamescom. This whole situation is just really baffling, and I can’t believe we’re supposedly less than 3-4 months from launch without anything. No marketing, no hype, what are they doing?
If 343 were to be transparent and actually talk to the community, I feel a lot of this anger and frustration could be tempered. It would atleast be better than being kept in the dark like we have been.
Edit: like supposedly Halo might make an appearance at an event tomorrow. But if that’s the case, then why would they not tell us? Why make us speculate and then ultimately disappointed if it doesn’t pan out… like today.
