Leadership needs to change

Whether or not you want the game to be delayed, we can all agree that leadership at 343 needs some major shake up.

I don’t know much about leadership ranking in dev teams. However, I’d personally like to have Joe Staten be the head of 343 and Paul Crocker or Dan Chosich to be “2nd level”.

People are forgetting about the new engine and the technical curve they have to get through. This includes bugs with the engine itself which takes an extended period time to fix without impacting and current/past development. I partially agree about management however we do know they wanted Halo 4 to be a Xbox One game and Halo 5 released during a low point of Xbox.

I agree about the developmental challenges 343 are facing amidst a pandemic. The main purpose of this post is to shine light on a different perspective which I don’t see many are talking about.

The lack of leadership is what I think to be the main issue.

I think a changing of the guard will need to happen if Halo’s population falls within 1 year.

Since bungie left and 343 was creared the leadership role has been taken for those who did not quit from halo and that is the problem, no experience scalation, no education/collegue degre scalation, no achievement/performance scalation etc. Almost like a goverment. Take Neill Drukman as example, a several number of executives and directors left after the TLoU fiasco and he became vice-president because he was the only one still there but he never deserved such raise, same with 343i, those who wanted to develop a AAA game plus a brand new engine at the same time hold nearly all the responsabilty for this mess and as you said wether or not the game gets delayed again they need some sort of talk with people like Phil Spencer or even Nadella CEO of Microsoft

This really isn’t up for discussion on this forum.
