Leaderboard Scoring Question

So for example, the #1 ranked guy “xIraqisoilderx” has some games where he got over 600 points. One game in particular he got 690 points. How is that possible if it’s a max of 60 kills to win in a game, shouldn’t the point limit be 600, assuming he gets all kills? And if he only got 50 kills and got assists on the other 10, it should be less than 600 points.

What am I missing?

Medals like Distractions, Road Trips and all that kind of stuff give you points towards Ordnance, the Infinity Challenge leaderboards, but not the 600 points required to win the game.

I wouldn’t call the Waypoint stats accurate right now to be fair either, some peoples stats are showing over 300 days played while the game hasn’t been out for two months yet.

So that’s what I thought at first too. I thought that medals and bonus points were the explanation for how he got over 600 points. When I checked my personal stats however, this wasn’t true. Only my kills and assists (my in-game score) was used as my score for the tournament.

Also, are you sure the rankings are not accurate? If so, have these issues been addressed by anyone?

How are some of these people logging so many hours? Are they just having their friends play on their account from different TVs or what…?

I literally would just think of it as a bug with the Waypoint stats.

I didn’t say the rankings weren’t accurate, just that the Waypoint stats you are seeing may not be.

As for people logging so many hours, I’d guess staying up really late, having friends over and passing the controller around.

I know for a fact the guy who was previously in first place actually stayed up for 28 hours straight on December 17th to play.

Can’t people just login to the same account on different xbox’s so their friends can help them “be online all the time”?

If you have an organized bunch I mean…are people doing that?

Completely possible, and I have no idea if people are doing that.

Cool. Well the question still remains, how did that guy get over 600 points in a game if the scoring online (at least when i checked my own rankings) ONLY took into account kills and assists. No other medals or bonuses or anything.

Anyone wondering the same thing…?

Like I said, the Waypoint stats have always been buggy.

If he is doing it every single game, then I’d be worried, but by the sounds of it, there is just one game of 690 points.

Yeah but that’s scary…why is that happening at all…
