Disclaimer: before you read this, a lot of this is Rant. I may seem like a classic fanboy but I mostly talk about what made me enjoy HW1. I understand this is just a beta, this is a lot of my opinion of the leader powers so just note: YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. As for a Final answer, I’m just looking at what the community has to say.
You should know what I mean when I say this. Playing both sides, they don’t feel unique anymore. Each side feels the same… and thats kinda boring. Cleansing is just a different version of the Mac Cannon, ODST is kinda the same as whatever the covenant have (I didn’t use that one), and they can be activated the same way.
I miss the special powers the covenant had. Come on, tell me you didn’t love running around as the arbiter killing things with the blades. IT WAS EPIC!!! Now what about the Chieftain: GIVE HIM THE VORTEX. Loved that ability so much!!!
heres another thing: Disruption Bomb: though it was unethical in terms of how it worked, It had it’s practical uses. Now I can’t find it. It’s gone.
Wait I just remembered something missing: Why can’t we teleport people now? The pelican was a good thing that should stay. IDK how powers were used in online matches as I never played online in HW1 unless it was with friends for a skirmish.
One more thing: I’ve noticed that A mac blast doesnt have multiple shots anymore. I get that It needs time to charge, but come on… a mac cannon can fire within a proper time. There better be an in-game explanation for the reason this is different. Same with the ODST Drop. Its only one squad of ODSTs that has only a little more health than the marines. What made the drops special is the fact that many can be dropped at once.
I’m disappointed about these powers and I hope they get fixed.
Ok Rant over. I’ll try not to do these again because I already did this for the H5 Armors and for the reason to why H5 was a major upset and maybe something else. This just takes too much out of me.
