Leader Powers slow the game down immensely. Anytime you make a push with your army, they can easily be annihilated by a single fully upgraded active Leader Power. And by the time you rebuild your army for another push, the power has already recharged. Some Powers can’t even be avoided. And it really wouldn’t be that much of a problem if there was only one leader power. But there are multiple active Leader Powers for each Leader. And let’s just bring up Anders for a moment. The fact that she can call in a Retrieval Sentinel is cool but highly unfair. She gets two Ultimate Units in her disposal and can call one in at anytime instantly given enough population space and resources. And enemy Leader Powers in Campaign’s higher difficulties is bs. Their powers are usually fully upgraded, unavoidable, and the AI use them immediately whenever they’re ready. I’m a balance kind of guy. And while this game has taken great leaps in improving unit balance from the first one, the sheer amount of Leader Powers throws the game off. And we’ll be getting new Leaders once a month, which will undoubtedly create more balancing issues.
This is my biggest worry now that I started my Legendary campaign run.
The Decimus boss fights in particular.
Have to agree wished there was the disruption bomb from halo wars 1.
Just beat it on Heroic 1st and then Legendary. They are fine once you learn to draw them out with spreading your army out instead of one large group. Or try to draw it out with smaller groups then run in with your army.

Decimus isn’t really bad. I did a LASO run on his first fight (just wait for his health to drop to minimum and spam Hellbringers. Second encounter I did Helljumpers, Cyclops and Hornets.

Thanks for the advice.

Honestly those fights aren’t even hard. Just mass spam hellbringers to kill him.
On topic, Glassing beam if anything needs to get nerfed the most for the AI. The fact that it can kill half of your army in the blink of an eye doesn’t really seem fair, does it?
OK what I want to know is where the plasma beams are coming from after Enduring Conviction gets destroyed in the campaign.
During my legendary playthrough I thought it would be over after that and random glassing beams wouldn’t annihilate my units.
Apparently not. Apparently they just keep coming.

Even a Monitor is calling bs.
Honestly, only 3 leader powers bother me. They include:
- Atriox’s cleansing cannon-Air Units can dodge this easily, but ground troops get decimated. I’ve lost 2 armies back2back because of that. Mad annoying - Cutter’s Gunships-They last too long and have too much range. - Cleansing Beam. It’s too fast and you don’t even need sight in order to move it
