This is a link from Limitz youtube channel. This game was a Gamebattles “face-off”, not MM. Do you think the combo matchup gave limitz team the win? I dont.

Looking at who elysium is playing with, I would have to give advantage to forge and co. Elysiu + Limited + Squeeker should not be > Forge Mike and Klunk

If Forge - Brute - Arbiter is auto loss on Exile against such a common team as Arbiter - Arbiter - Anders, then the loss is deserved.

I vote “No”.

i dont think so

limitz did have combo advantage but klunk mike and forge didnt play very good

Exactly

Also the 1v1 game that followed was also recorded. After the game forge called out limitz to play a 1v1. Forge refused to play any map/combo other then limitz’s anders vs “forge’s” forge on Tundra. The game literally had me laughing the entire time, I LOVE LIMITZ COMMENTARY

I just couldnt believe forge didnt win that game. Untouched for 13 mins with being allowed to take the expo and he didnt even have PT. Watching how Limitz played I thought it to be impossible for a forge to lose, yet he amazed us all. It was basically a true skill 30 anders vs someone who has played more games then me you and half this forums combined.

Advice for Limitz, waypoints. Its when you press and hold x to make multiple destination points for your units. Combine that with your rally point after each hog is built to improve on crate micro. I literally would of picked up 6 crates by the time you had 3. Crates are extremely inportant in 1v1. This is why 1v1 players do better going into 2v2 then 2v2 players going into 1v1. In 1v1 you need those crates and start to perfect all the little things that add up. So when I go into 2v2 I inherantly know to do all those little things that are needed to get the W in 1v1. I mean Limitz says he the 1v1 2’s player, in 1v1 you couldnt pass 40TS picking up crates and having micro like that.

Ps- Dont stun with all your gremlins at once and 1 canni tank deosnt need to be canistered by 6 PT. Aka dont just press “all-units” then Y

My legendary double base brute couldn’t carry.

> My legendary double base brute couldn’t do as much damage as Limitz single base arbi

Fixed

the joke

Mikes double brute rush was horrible he could of went x2 brutes and grunts and at least droped the arby expo but he did nothing at all…

I know it might have been painful to watch, but I think I gathered crates perfectly fine that game. I know I didn’t set rally points by holding x, but that’s because I’ve been playing covenant lately. If you rewatch the video I manually moved each scout right away after it collected a crate of supplies as if I didn’t need to hold x at all.

The all units stun/canny was an accident. I just played really passive, which was probably the worst part because I didn’t scout or anything and relied off experience/tendencies.

Double base covie on exile is the only hard part imo, there’s so many macro choices. i.e. that game, i didn’t know if it would be possible to do damage with double base brute spam, or if the double base arbiter could just rage it all. I tried to get a better eco, but i realize that you don’t want to ever upgrade warehouses on double base unless you’re absolutely sure that it won’t die. My fatal mistake was going one turret and then deciding i needed a shield 20 seconds too late.

I did watch the video and you had warthogs sitting around for 5-10 seconds after every crate. Me and like 4 other 1’s players watched it together and we all commented on it. Really you need to set waypoints and rallypoints to pick up crates more effiecent.

micro of a 1v1 player with 1000 games > micro of a teams player with 10.000+ games

1v1 has the most maps. 1v1 has hooks on almost every map. in 1v1 you cant make major mistakes.

why do some people still say 2v2 or 3v3 takes more skill ?

As far as individual play and decision-making goes, 1s most definitely take the most skill to be good at.

However, teamwork, I find, is a completely different aspect to the game and is something that is generally harder for a lot of 1s players to be good at. 1s and Party Teams aren’t really comparable in my opinion. I view the difference between the two as the change from Standard to Deathmatch. They are different gametypes that take different skills.

teamwork in halo wars aint that hard, i get your point though. But i have been playing all standardplaylists for the past 9 months now and teams , especially 3v3, is just alot easier to pick up , because of the simple fact that there is less variation in the games.

I would suggest everyone who wants to be a decent/good teams player to start with 1v1. This might sound crazy but it will improve your micro/awareness/reaction time a lot faster. The micro and APM of some of the high level vids on youtube make me sick.

No. Teams is a way easier to compete in then 1v1. In 1’s you can find challenging games and the all time “best” still search. The over skill level of 2’s has been dropping for the last 2 years while 1’s has been going up. I played both kihz and boyah in 2 seperate games. Both games where with new people I just met. I won both games without a sweat. That’s why I don’t play 2’s. Whats the point if I can beat the best teams off the bat. I would rather play mighty ice, those games are 10x more challenge/complex then any 2’s game I could find.

On the flip side boyahh could never just play 1’s for the first time with a leader he’s never used and win vs me. No 2’s player could. That’s what I mean. 1’s players can transfer better to 2v2 then vica versa. Legskindal never played 1’s so he has no clue. Any 2’s player who knows 1v1 would agree.
