So these bonus maps that we are getting in the LE, are three map packs of three maps, right? Is it included in the disc, or do we have to download them? Are they ready for play right when we buy the LE, or have to wait until they are released in the future?

You don’t get the maps on launch. You get them when they come out.
These aren’t maps they already made, it’s basically a pre-pay so when the DLC comes out it’s free.
Post launch which is after the game is released and they are released to everyone, but we get them without having to go buy ms points.
No you have to download them since they are going to come out after launch
its cool. ok basically what is happening is the maps are not on disk at all and are not ready yet (as far as we know) but what your buying with the LE is a season pass so when they do come out you dont have to pay for them at all just go and download them.

Depends on the location. My store store had overabundant supplies of ME3 LE. I bought mine without preordering…
Same.for gears 3, they said their epic edition would be rare, but it became so overabundant that it was being sold for almost as cheap as the first limited edition price.
