I know it’s a bit late, but a friend of mine, has bought the LE Edition of the game. He downloaded the crimson DLC for free, but then stopped playing Halo 4 for a long time. Now, he wants to download the Majestic & Castle Map Packs, but they don’t appear in the in-game marketplace! What can he do? Does he have to pay for them?
Try redownloading the map pass, going to account settings then download history in the xbox dashboard. Then start Halo 4, and press a on Marketplace. Wait for a bit, and then you should be prompted to download the two map packs for free.
Yes, but he has the LE Edition, not the map pass…there is no pass to download.

The Limited Edition Map Pass is included in the Infinity Actual Kit download. Tell him to delete that from his hard drive and redownload it then try the in-game marketplace again.
