People are not reading through the other thread for the clarification and are responding solely on the opening post. Here is the clarification.

refer to the highlight. the word “matching” implies that you get a matching set of in-game armor (FOTUS) as you do avatar armor (FOTUS).
You can lower your pitchforks now.
Perhaps (and this is just another way to look at it) the matching avatar armor matches because it has the same exclusive skin. but that’s just a theory and probably a wrong one.
Seriously, when are we going to get someone from 343 to clarify this. Ever since they started switching up the content that everyone was getting, things have turned into a huge mess.

The LE says something similar yet we now know that it isn’t special. Hopefully this is just a typo, but if I’ve learned anything in the past week from Microsoft’s marketing team it’s that you can’t trust anything they say.

They’ve already shown everything we get, Game-stop just worded it strange.
As for why they are doing all these crazy things, no word on it, and there will likely be no word.
