lazygamer new story. Is Halo 4 being prepped for multiple platforms?

It’s already been confirmed by Frankie that Halo 4 is being developed for the Xbox 360 only.

In plus, it would be a stupid move on Microsoft’s part to release a new console alongside Halo 4, since it would affect the sales of both negatively. It’d be better to have them both be released at separate times to maximize sales for both. A fair amount of people would think “Hey, I don’t have the money to buy the new Xbox and Halo 4 right now, but I want Halo 4 with the better graphics so I’ll just wait until the price goes down”. Boom, Microsoft gains less money than they would get.

And 343 Industries wouldn’t have had the time to play and work with the new Xbox anyway.

I was hoping for at least some kind of proof. That’s pure (and fairly fanciful) conjecture. More to the point, surely the opposite would be true? If the biggest XBN launch title is also on the 360, surely that takes away from the attraction of the XBN?

Xbox only, POLAND HAS SPOKEN!

This is a good idea and it sounds like it’s something they would do. I don’t think that the “XBN” as the guy said will be out at the same time but I think it’ll be compatible so it’s ready for the future.

That kind of thing has backfired in the past and could easily do so again.

People dont want to have there friends list separated because there is two xbox consoles and two types of games so it makes since to do this way. One xbox can play the game with better graphics just like a low and high end pc.

Insanely hilarious being that Halo is a Microsoft Property.

It’s not venturing off the Xbox 360.

The next xbox will also be owned by Microsoft lol.

It worked for Nintendo and Zelda: Twilight Princess!

This isn’t a bad idea at all. It would help sell the XBN while keeping any late adapters who would prefer to keep their xbox.

Honestly I wish they’d just do an enhanced PC version and wait for Halo 5 to release the next xbox, but that’s wishful thinking.

The console has nothing to do with the game property. If MS hadn’t relinquished the rights after Bungie, it would still be able to be developed on other platforms. However, since it is a direct property of MS, it will not leave the Xbox console.

Metal Gear Solid was developed by Konami and while people like to argue that it shouldn’t have gone to the Xbox “since it was a Sony property”, people like to forget the fact that it originally appeared on the NES in 1987.

Final Fantasy was another one that, again, people argued it should not have moved to the Xbox since it was a Sony Popular (Developed by Square/SquareSoft/SquareEnix) forgetting once again that it was debuted and popularized on the NES as well.

Read the article Deadpool. It’s not about the game moving to PS3 or Wii U. It’s about it being released on both the 360 and Microsoft’s next console.

That’s one example, and one that Nintendo themselves have called a failure. They know it annoyed the hell out of fans and created a hell of a lot of problems and they said they wont do the same thing.

Xbox ONLY

PRAISE MS

The title is slightly misleading. But you have to read the article. The article is just saying that halo 4 could be released with the new Xbox coming out. Not saying it will be released into different consoles like ps3.

Whoopsies! Opened it in another tab and just jumped on my response.

Coffee refill? Yes please!

OT: Well, I wouldn’t exactly liken it to the Twilight Princess fiasco. That was more along the lines with the Motion Sensors vs Standard Controller issues.

Miyamato DID want TP to originally be Gamecubes swan song but demand apparently for the less then truthful motion controls soared. Gladly they did release both b/c I found the GC version much more enjoyable and paced. The integration of the motions were poor and lacking compared to how they were described. Kinect honestly would’ve done much better with this interface but therein lies the Property problem.

I DO think this wouldn’t be too bad of an idea. If anything, people staying with the 360 will most likely be missing out on one exclusivity aside from crispier lush graphics.

A port to the new xbox isn’t worth the effort. Neither is the new xbox itself. Seriously, why are they releasing it this fall?

The average lifespan (generation) of a game console has been roughly 5 years. I’m personally content with the 360 as-is especially since I got my Slim.

Much like the 360, I probably won’t shift to the next gen til about a year after. I’m the kind of person who likes to get as much use out of a product as possible.

My first gen iPod Nano just kicked the bucket last week. I don’t do the “next year upgrade” scam. I get my moneys worth.

Lol Deadpool this is why I love you.
