Dear Larry/343 Industries,
there’s no need for laziness, but honestly, you have taken laziness to the extreme. As examples, you don’t fix the problems within your game but instead make it worse, and you also don’t make your own maps, you steal the maps from the community(mainly in BTB) which doesn’t look good on your part. Maybe if you guys were to make some of your own maps and mix it with some of the actual good maps from the community instead of sitting back and making things worse.
From a good friend, not lazy Larry.
P.S This is feedback.
Pretty sure that the people who have given us multiple Warzone maps and variants cannot be called lazy. Pretty sure that they didn’t “steal” community-made maps. Pretty sure the community of forgers is seriously excited by having their work recognized and used. Pretty sure that recognizing and using those creations should have been a bigger part of this game a long time ago.
And you’re gonna have to be a little more specific about “not fixing problems - just making them worse” if that statement is going to carry any weight whatsoever.
All community made maps are actually submitted to 343 by the community. It seems like this is your first time in the forums, so I’ll just let you know there is an entire section devoted to submitting community made forge maps to 343, so they aren’t stealing anything. Further, the forgers who get their maps into matchmaking are rewarded with special helmets (Olive and Timmy) for their work; something 343 didn’t have to do, but they went the extra mile to thank forgers anyway. ALSO you’re getting FREE content drops about every 2 months since launch. Even though the scheduled content drops are over, 343 is still pushing out new content for us to use.
P.S. It’s not feedback if you don’t know what you’re talking about.

Never said anything about Warzone boi, I said BTB, and most of the good BTB maps are not found as much as the bad ones like boulivard, and many others, and they have become lazy because most of there maps come from the community, it shows that they don’t put a lot of effort into making some of there own maps.

Cool story brah, but what the point of this post was to point out that 343 isn’t as committed as everyone thinks they are. All they do is take old maps and remake them and put them back out there and take maps from the community(here’s a hint: Lazy Larry, it’s in the title). Maybe if they could rise to the challenge and make there own set of maps to show that they’re still committed to making Halo better. Plus, Halo Reach BTB maps were way bigger than the BTB maps in Halo 5. Feels like they just want to turn there Warzone maps into BTB maps and BTB maps into Arena maps. You also say that there’s an entire section towards community made maps, well, it’s not bad to get the community involved but when they take poor choices of maps like Boulivard, Scavenger, Deadlock which is because of the updates to it, Basin, and EagleSquare. Maybe they should push for an update to there BTB maps and take some of them out and put new ones in instead of leaving them as they are. Don’t forget, there’s an entire community pushing for there maps to be pushed into the rosters.

My point about warzone maps is that if you’re wondering where the BTB development resources went then you need look no farther.
While I disagree with you on the value of including community-made projects and giving them a gametype/playlist all their own, I can very much agree with you that the quality of those maps, with a few notable exceptions, is not really up to the standard that they should be. Boulevard is a terrible map.

I’ll just respond to a few things in there.
- The BTB maps are smaller due to the gameplay changes made to Halo 5 from the previous games.
- Ever think that there’s a reason those maps made it into BTB? It’s because they were maps that played the best and were the best made. I’m sure there are other good maps out there, but these have gone through months of play testing and changes in order to be considered matchmaking ready. If you want a better map in matchmaking then get working on your own map, but know that it will be months before it is ready for matchmaking.
- You said your point was to show that 343 isn’t as committed as people think they are, but I showed that the opposite is actually true because they’ve done even more for the game and community then they originally planned to.

- Halo 5 has faster movement which means they should be making/picking out bigger maps because all the original Halo’s had bigger maps and they don’t have the same things Halo 5 has like sprint, boost, and slide. A lot of their BTB maps can be played in triple team slayer, Swat, snipers, and even super fiesta, because of fast movement speeds, they should try to make the maps bigger because BTB is about having vehicles and power weapons with 8 players on the map so there is still some distance for players to travel, not be able to run across the map in 15 seconds.
- I’ve played many BTB maps in customs and most of them are far more better than the bad ones I listed, plus, these maps have been played for so long, I think we need to take some out and add some new/better ones into the chain. These maps have been in the chain for a good 6 months and a lot of them are bad, where’s the update, please, there should’ve been one by now, especially since 343 shouldn’t be to busy since they aren’t making the maps. All they have to do is look at there forge community and find what they think can work and just add and remove some things.
- Yep, your right, 343 sure can show that they commit there days at the industries into making Halo better. But wait, there’s more. If 343 is as committed as you they are, why do they not make there own maps other than the ones they use at the start of release, and yeah they have a community to get involved, but I’m pretty sure they could come up with a few things other than let the community make some and take what everyone liked from the previous Halo’s. Plus, I remember when Bungie would release DLC which would add maps to BTB, and Firefight, and yet get the community involved in BTB maps, and also make there own maps.

I see what you mean with the Warzone, and I’m glad you agree with me on the BTB. Thank you.
