…which is just a mongoose…

while the other side gets warthog, wasp, etc.

Unless your talking Fiesta where the vehicle spawns are just completely messed up.

It’s basically garbage.

Could’ve sworn that was a Ghost, plus they get sniper, Bulldog, etc.

I’m not sure what you like playing but it isn’t Halo… At least not what Halo was originally meant to be.

The pit is a classic Halo map that is a good representation of what playing Halo was when it was at its peak.

Maybe I’m getting too old and out of touch with what Halo should be… Or maybe many, many players have left because 343 doesn’t want to actually make Halo. They want to use the Halo shell to make their own game that just ends up aggravating Halo fans.

I dislike Launch Site - I feel like we need a 6v6 mode for it to be right - but I’m actually with you on this. I never liked The Pit. Guardian, Narrows, Sandtrap, and Valhalla were always the only H3 maps I was excited to play. The rest were just kind of OK or not great to me.

For Behemoth - I have a love/hate relationship with it. Behemoth Fiesta I find downright fun, but beyond that, it’s frustrating - to me anyway.

Pure tripping. The Pit is one of the greatest maps ever made in a Halo game.

I also strongly dislike Launch Site and it’s inclusion in Arena gamemodes. Personally, with some modifications, I would consider it a better BTB map than anything.

I don’t know what it would be like for BTB… Probably utter chaos with 24 players… Vehicles wouldn’t stand a chance.

Maybe it could work for the Last Man Standing game type in BTB, depending on how that works?

I’ve played worse in all my years of gaming online. The only thing that really bothers me about the map is vehicle spawns not really being fair in game modes that aren’t one flag CTF honestly.

This.

Vehicles are like 60% less intimidating in Fiesta than in any other mode because there are rocket launchers, skewers, shock weapons, etc literally everywhere when playing that gametype.

It always gets me when someone complains about Fiesta being an unbalanced experience. It’s like… Yeah, and? Kinda the point :joy:

It is not my favorite, but I think it would do well in a 6v6 squad battle mode.

Yea I have demolished Vehicles on this map multiple times, ots poorly designed, that whole empty Chasm where you can take the giant man cannon could have been utilized better

Squad Battle 6v6 I feel like would run much smoother on the map rather than 4v4 because I feel similarly that the map is big for 4v4.

I mean, yeah, its mechanically unsound but I think its still a ton of fun to play, and even if whoever goes first almost always wins one-flag I really can’t help but enjoy it. Also, they absolutely nailed the aesthetic of the place. I can understand not liking it for gameplay reasons, but if you don’t like the looks and feels of the place you must be insane. I get a nostalgia burst every time I glance at that saber. It looks just like it did all those years ago when I first played Halo Reach.

Eh. I mostly like it for the fusion coils, one of the few truly new additions to the game, and 343 sequesters them to only 2 maps. Looks like Catalyst will them (yay!)

Despite actually liking it. It’s not great. It’s got a lot of problems that need fixing.

  • Lopsided vehicles. Low side gets a goose, hog AND a ghost, while sabre side only gets a mongoose?
  • Horrible Vehicle circuit. It only has 1 lane and is very narrow. And you’ll get skewered almost immediately.
  • Unfocused weapon spawns. Almost every weapon spawns on the map (except hammers and swords). They can be in weird locations too. Rockets are WAY closer to low side than sabre side. It honestly reminds me some garbage map I made in reach forge back when I didn’t know a thing about map making.
  • Map geometry makes going from sabre to low side is much harder than the reverse (makes sense in 1-flag, but awful for slayer).
  • Probably some other stuff I forgot.

But you know why I like it? It’s because, despite all of these problems, it at least offers a different experience than those cookie cutter maps like Aquarius.

I agree, 6v6 would make way more sense to have a 6v6 mode on some maps, like Launch Site and Behemoth. It would also probably help for there to be symmetrical vehicle matchups, like a Warthog, Gungoose, Wasp, and Tank that spawn on both sides of the map.

Do explain why anyone likes that

Possibly the worst map in the Halo series. It feels like it was really only made for 6v6 1 flag ctf which is already obscure and it seems like it would play that mediocre at best. 343 really missed the mark with vehicles, namely the use of space, vehicles aren’t fun if you can’t use them well.

Been the case the entire time, Exile in Halo 4 was a mess too due to clutter, poor geometry and a low hanging sky barrier. The just can’t develop on the idea of ‘fun’

8v8 would be perfect tho, don’t expect 343 to do anything to it.

Behemoth is excellent, underrated as hell, Launch Site is asthetically pleasing but otherwise worthless…
