It’s so bad. It’s too big for 4v4. I spend so much time just looking for someone to shoot. And yet it still manages to somehow spawn me in a location where I get spawn killed. How does that happen on a map that big with that many rooms?
I don’t understand how a map like this even got made. It’s too big for 4v4 and too small for BTB. It’s like they forced an asymmetrical map just so they could put the One Flag game type in. But it’s just bad.
I will not play it. I don’t care. I’ll take my 5 minute time out.
Does anyone actually like this map?

Nope, that map and behemoth are very poorly designed. Too big for 4v4 but too small for BTB. A game of fiesta on both those maps makes me want to play something else.

It’s bad, but they can’t remove it. If they do, we will only have like three maps left to play on.

Yup, it’s a nasty catch 22.

I love the map personally. And I’m not even good with sniper weapons. I have some, plans, for when Forge comes out though.

I like it because of the vehicle spawns. I’ve had some really fun matches on it.

The size is about perfect for a larger 4v4 map. It’s designed with vehicle combat, which none of the other 4v4 maps are. And the details of the map are superb.

What makes the map 10 times worse is that the loading screen shows off a Sabre. And so my first reaction was “OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD, bois . . . we are playing on COUNTDOWN !!!”
Instead when I loaded into the map I was met with “Oh . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . well this is underwhelming.”

You don’t feel like you spend most of the game just looking for enemy players and taking forever to find them?
Have you actually tried to use vehicle combat on the map? Not to mention how it spawns vehicles on one side and not the other, which makes vehicle combat uninteresting.
Yeah, I get that. It just makes the lack of new maps even worse.

I think Behemoth would be a much better map if they fixed the spawns and added some more cover around the edges.

I know it’s pretty decent for Fiesta. Same for Behemoth.

My experience with Fiesta is that it does give you long range weapons, which you can actually use to shoot people on the other side of the map. But that just makes the spawn killing worse. I’m also not a fan of the uneven vehicle spawns. A tank for one team and a gungoose for the other? No thanks.
That’s just Fiesta. There’s also an equal chance that someone got rockets to blow up the tank.

If it wasn’t such a dominant map in so many playlist rotations due to the sadly small number of overall maps in this game, I think it wouldn’t get so much hate. It’s got a fun asymmetrical design for objective modes and Fiesta, in my opinion.
It can certainly get a bit tiresome after having played on it 3+ times a day, though. Still, I think the biggest problem isn’t that Launch Site is a poorly designed map, but rather that it’s having to carry more matches more often than it’s really worth. Natural side effect of having so few maps to choose from. The really great maps manage to keep feeling fresher, but anything short of that (fair-good in the case of Launch Site, IMO) starts to grate on players’ nerves pretty fast.
I just played a fiesta match on launch site where the other team spawned with a scorpion and a wasp, and we got a warthog.
Horribly unbalanced map

It’s purposely designed to be unbalanced. It’s made specifically for the One Flag game type, which I’m not a big fan of in general. But making it spawn random vehicles in a Slayer mode is just ridiculous.
Nope
There’s vehicles on both sides? What are you on? To the left facing away from the ship.
Launch site and bazaar are both equally horrible. Easily the worst maps in franchise history.
