Launch maps are a joke

Actually there are 6 Warzone maps at launch…

Haha agreed. Nonissue. Couldn’t follow all the numbers you were juggling up there. You said that team slayer fans will only get 6 maps to play on, but what about the forged, remixed, and “copy and pasted” maps? According to your numbers, there seems to be 12 maps in those categories. None of those maps are suited to team slayer? Or are some of the 6 “unique arena” maps included in the “remixed” or “copy and pasted” numbers? Also, since when does 343i only put 6 maps in a playlist (except for the H2A playlist of which there are only 7 maps available), needless to say a slayer playlist which is the most popular gametype in the franchise?

Ahhh it’s so close already doesn’t really matter to me that the “launch maps are a joke.” I’ll still be playing.

This

I feel that it doesn’t really matter how many maps there are, be it at launch or in the DLC.

Trust me, as time goes on most players will only stick to the few maps they know and love. So ultimately less than 10 maps would be played in regularly.

Just a pattern I’ve noticed.

non issue

Right…Because creating, testing, balancing and creating the art for a map takes the same amount of time as changing a few aesthetics in a map.

No amount of “I don’t cares” takes away from the fact that this launch will be completely lacking in even the most basic features.

I find your lack of maps disturbing.

You proved my point exactly, sure they don’t look as pretty; does that make them any less functional? I’d rather play the dull looking and fun uncaged, than the detailed and boring sword base.

It should be fine as long as gameplay keeps me and others entertained.

Maps aren’t an issue, I only play 2 maps when I play csgo like most people and I still have fun…

As long as they show variety and are fun to play on, it’ll be fine in my eyes.

Eden and Regret feel and play differently enough for me to consider them as new maps, if you think they don’t count then you’re honestly just searching for something to not like and being needlessly negative.

There’s PLENTY of maps to tide me over until the first wave of free maps hits in what I’m assuming will be a month’s time.

I agree there needs to be a good amount for slayer

OP hasn’t made a map for launch, and 343 has more by default.
see what i did there?

I’m not too concerned, free maps packs and the new forge system will be churning out some sick maps soon enough.

ALthough im not a fan of forge maps being part of the playlist at launch… i didnt mind them in the beta, prefered the other maps… but to be honest i think we’ll see maybe a few maps when the Forge update comes in… wouldnt surprise me… and even if they dont, the community will release some amazing maps! which if 343 dont implement into the playlist or make a seperate playlist for then… there idiots because with all the new stuff coming in forge… these new maps will blow us away! i know they will!

First in. Last out.

Not an issue, plus we will get more maps.

Worrying that so many people don’t see this as an issue.

Also I am willing to bet this ‘free DLC’ will include remixes of the maps that haven’t already been done and forge maps

I’m not too bothered. We’re getting 15 maps as free DLC anyway. As long as the maps at launch play well then there’s no issue. As for people whining about forge maps, get over it. Gameplay beats everything else.
