Latest update doesn't install

Look lately I’ve been having an issue with downloading the most recent update to the halo mcc (December 2014) I have really good internet connection as my modem is wired into my xbox one. I’ve called Microsoft support many times to get help, they can give me slight bits of help but nothing has fixed it, also this issue has been happening to me for four days straight! Please I really need help with this as I’m a huge fan of halo, if anybody has the same issue as me and has figured out a way to fix it please tell me, it will be greatly appreciated.

Are you getting the problem where it keeps telling you that the update is ‘queued’, then it says 100%, then ‘queued’ again? I had to leave my in the “Games and Apps” section and after 5 minutes, it fixed itself.

No I click on the game then a black screen pops up saying, halo: the master chief collection needs an update, I’ll click continue then it will pop up saying that there was a problem with the update.

Aha, I’ve found what the issue is. It has nothing to do with my connections to 343i servers or Microsofts servers bu -Yoink!- has something to do with the iinet internet. Don’t know why this is an issue but it is an issue for sure.

i had a problem where the download would “hang” for like 15 minutes then it would re queue and start progressing again… a 5 minute download took 40 something minutes…

I found the issue and fixed it, iinet had an issue with the underwater cable that goes from Singapore to Perth this was stopping me from being able to download the update. Of anybody else has iinet and is experiencing the same issue follow these steps.

-go to settings
-go to network
-go advanced
-change DNS to manual
-it will ask for a series of number enter this 8.8.8.8
-then it will ask for a secondary code type in 8.8.4.4
-after installing the update change the DNS settings to automatic again
