Hi,
Thanks for teh information in the latest Bulletin.
I quote:
“• Reduced the range of the Boltshot’s damage scaling over distance. The previous effective range for 1-hit kills was 20’-25’. The range has been reduced to 15’.”
and
“Fixed issues with friendly fire against vehicles. If FF is disabled, damage / EMPs from friendly sources will no longer damage vehicles that are fully controlled by your team.”
I am hoping that no mention of the DMR means you left it alone
The BS needed fixing and I have for a while been advocating change to FF re vehciles and am happey that these are happening.
I had to get to the Forums as soon as I read that the Bolt Shot is getting its nerf. THANK YOU 343! I can’t tell you how much this is going to end some of my frustrations, and that is coming from a person who really enjoys Halo 4.
BOLTSHOT NERF! WOOT!!!
I for one hope that the DMR is nerfed to the extent that it’s not the go-to weapon anymore. I like my variety.
This “nerf” means exactly nothing. The max range of the boltshot was hardly an issue. 90% of boltshot kills would be within 10 feet.
The fact that you spawn with a single shot kill weapon is what breaks the game. Not the range of the weapon.
DMR needs a fix, not a nerf. Autoaim on that thing is redonk.
Reduction of range isn’t enough. It still is a load-out weapon that can kill in one shot. It just doesn’t make sense to have it in there.
At least Team Throwdown will provide some relief.
Really excited for the rest of that change og, and I love how they’re really listening (ex. changing Team Snipers winning score to 500 instead of 600)
Can’t wait to see what else they plan to do, and I’m really looking forward to Team Throwdown.
@Time Glitch: For the DMR, it’s really not that bad. All it needs is a reduced fire rate, and while it may be still a bit more powerful, I think most would be satisfied.
Massively reduce Aim Assist and Bullet Magnetism and the game-play improves significantly.
Then worry about balancing issues.

I could live with that small change.
