Ever since the update, I have been experiencing constant latency (lag). I am quite sure that it has nothing to do with my internet, as I am using ethernet, have high download/upload speeds, and have an open NAT type. I have never lagged before in any game. But what this appears to be is not internet lag, more like server lag. If I throw a grenade, my arm will move, but the grenade won’t leave my hand for 1-2 seconds. When I melee it will hit the player, but will sometimes only kill him after I die first. When I pick up a weapon it will take at least 3 seconds to actually pick up. But, my movement and gunplay is NEVER affected. I can kill people smoothly with guns, and my movements never lag, and my boost dodges/spartan charges/ground pounds are never affected by it. I know this is not my fault, and my friends have been experiencing it too. So…what’s up 343?
I’ve been experiencing the same thing here recently while playing BTB. It changes things just enough to make it unenjoyable, especially when it affects an enemy’s movement if even ever so slightly. And it seems to be taking extra long to respawn after death.
When Halo 5 was released I was making 25/30 kills per game… after a few weeks it got worse, so much lag.

I am experiencing incredible lag all the time. If it’s not the throwing grenades and then appearing 1-2 seconds later, it’s me glitching all over the map. Try to walk straight and suddenly I’m walking into a wall, then suddenly back on the walk way then back into the wall. Not in Halo 2-3-4 did this happen to me so often.
Me too. It’s terrible.
Yes that’s a major issue. I got a lot of unnecessary death because of that.

Same here. Went from almost no lag ever, to update and now I get consistent lag now and then. Wonder what changed?
Wow. It sucks, but it is reassuring to know that I am not the only one. Halo has been my favorite games since the beginning, so I hope they can fix this in the December update so this game can actually be playable.
I have an odd question. What internet providers do all of you have? Also what brand modem?
I haven’t had many major issues. I’ve only been D/C’d from two games, but sometimes I get weird stuff like I’m teleporting in random directions, and sometimes larger distances than are logical. I was in a Warzone game on ARC and I was chasing some dude down out of West Armory, but then suddenly I was on the other side of the armory, and then when I tried to go inside, I couldn’t get through the door because I was “bouncing” between being on either side of the door. Frickin weird… It killed my score that game, I came out with less than 200 points, and I’m used to doing an average of 700+.
One of the D/Cs I had was my own network going down for a few minutes, but otherwise, I’ve not had any problems, so I don’t know what’s going on. Every game I get into is laggy now.
