Latency filter?

It’s stupid to play on a lagged server. I seriously think about giving up this infinite halo on lag. Nothing worse than having 200 ms of lag; it would be more honest to say that there is no server for me. I’d rather not waste time and go play something decent. Halo is just another good game, but a good one plays laggy most of the time. While other good games aren’t that laggy.

Where are you based?

South America, Brazil. I know it’s far from the big data centers; but I prefer not to play and wait for better service. Honestly, I’d rather be told ‘there aren’t enough players’ than to have my relaxed moment turned to frustration. Also, I’m aware that my lag gets in the way of other players and that doesn’t make me happy.

There is a server in São Paulo so the only reasons you should be placed on servers further away and with a high ping is if the population is too high for server capacity, too low to find a match or SBMM is matching you with players on other continents. Your next closest servers are Dallas, Washington DC and Johannesburg.

Yes. When I get the server in São Paulo, my ping is between 18 and 20 ms and everything flows. That’s why I would like a filter, or even a region lock. I’d rather wait in line longer than have my gaming experience ruined. It is difficult to perform the specific challenges with ping above 130 ms; being that in the majority I am with 150 and, not infrequently, 180 to 200 ms (imagine a game of tactical slayer). Is there any place where I can see the number of players or pings from the servers? And thank you so much for listening to me.

It’s impossible to play. More than four hours and only two matches with less than 130 ping. Goodbye Halo, Play Station Horizon… Here I come.
