BLUF: Went through the firing range and took notes on weapons until I got 3 stars.
Apologies for the tardiness of the report. Went through the firing range to get a gauge on weapon mechanical and optical feedback. If more information is required on the next flight, please let me know what you would like to hear my thoughts on. These will not be in order, nor will all be present.
VL78 - This is a fun gun, period. Up close to mid range, let her rip. As long as you’re landing shots you’re tearing the enemy to pieces. Aiming chest, holding down the trigger and letting that recoil bring you to the head as shields wear off. Thing of beauty. Slow down, take your time on moving targets. ~ 2 CK per magazine.
BR75 - This is such a toy at the range, especially non-moving targets.
Pulse Carbine - Had a hard time wanting to get into this gun in Live exercise but don’t be fooled this is a formidable weapon. This is a two trigger headshot. Long range she struggles a bit to locate without significant lead but still chews through shields. Good to initiate a fight or be on assault.
MA40 - Where the Pulse Carbine falls just a bit short, the MA40 excels. Assaulting with this weapon and having a pistol slinger cleaning up kills would be the dream. But none the less if the target is further away linking into the firearm’s optics and shouldering the weapon really cleans up the bullet spread, almost entirely.
PP - felt like it needed a lot of lead on a moving target. Would really like to see something like a floating optic that gave you an idea how far you need to lead depending on how fast you are yawing. Or the single shot plasma fire a little bit faster so a lead isn’t as necessary. It would be great if I can annoy a player with PP shots from a decent distance just like grunts do when you disturb a herd of them from their nap.
CQS48 - two shot headshot, great for crowd control.
Heatwave - The clustered shot is very satisfying. Don’t forget to vent and you’ll undoubtedly overwhelm your opponents very quickly.
Needler - Super Super fun assault weapon. That reload speed is fast.
Ravager - Remember to vent your plasma weapons
