What about new players that don’t play til months or even years later? With so much FOMO are these players just screwed to access to items, armors, etc?
Say you miss a whole event, you just never get an armor core?
I assume no one really knows an answer to this yet.
But really locking players out of options is horrible. Hopefully late comers will be able to gain armors etc that are tied to events.
FOMO is a personal issue depending on a person’s own mental capacity to compartmentalize what is important from what is not. If you think other Halos have not have FOMO you can look at MCC and all the limited time armor and weapon skins that have not been available a second time around.
When the advertising promises no FOMO, there’s a tad more justification for pointing out cases of FOMO in the design of the product. MCC did not promise no FOMO, Infinite did.
That is not true. They have only said that the items in the Battle Pass will not be going anywhere. Even in their early videos they have said that certain armor will only come from limited time events.
Also like I said, FOMO is a personal issue. No game has FOMO. People have FOMO.
If they came to the game late it sounds to me like they already don’t experience FOMO as some other people do.
Games are designed to encourage FOMO. Such as Infinite.
