Good evening,
I am currently on day 5 or 6 of being unable to play matchmaking or my campaign save since the last update. Everything was working perfectly until that point. Upon download of the title update, I am getting the matchmaking countdown then going basic to the start, sometimes not even making it to the countdown and just going back to the title screen.
As far as the campaign it loads 3%, then randomly 33%, then back down to 0%. With a bug of this magnitude, I’m curious as to why a fix or new download has not been offered yet. Am I the only suffering from this?? I’m unable to play the maps that I paid money for with the LE, I’m unable to play the campaign that I was working on, and I’m currently unable to enjoy the unlock of the Specializations that I recently entered a code for. Nothing on Halo 4 works for me and this is honestly extremely frusturating.
I posted on the “Issues Being Investigated” roughly 120 pages ago so I know that’s pretty much a lost cause. I decided my next option would be to start my own thread and hopefully hear back from 343 Industries regarding the game breaking update and their plan to fix it as soon as humanly possible. Almost a week is too long. Thank you!
Delete and re-install both discs to the HDD. Remove the TU and download it again.

Title Update. The update you’re saying is causing you problems.
Is it possible to actually delete a title update? I know you can delete game installations on the hard drive but I wasn’t aware you could actually delete a title update.

Yes you can delete them quiet easily, and its advised by MS to do so if you run in to problems like yours. The TU is marked specifically in the games data folder as “Title Update” on your HDD along with your game saves and the game data. Remove the TU and the games instalation data and re-instal the lot then download the TU again.
Alright, uninstalled disc 2 and the TU. Re-installed disc 2. Was not offered a chance to download the title update again. Game is still not working. Bringing me back to the beginning of matchmaking after the countdown. Campaign is loading up to about 35% then taking me to the title screen.
Any other suggestions or do I just wait until 343 fixes it (which could be awhile)?
Bump. The amount of responses on this forum have been quite frusturating. I’ve never felt more helpless.
Wow, still frusturated and helpless. I’m honestly surprised at the lack of help or official response from a 343 rep.
If you weren’t prompted to download the update after deleting it then it didn’t get deleted. Try deleting disk 2 from your hard drive (and disk 1 if you have it installed), then delete the update, then clear the hard drive cache. Reboot your console and start reinstalling the disk/updates.
If I were home with my Xbox I would give more specific details on where to go.
