I was just browsing through my medal collection on my service record when I noticed that there’s actually a ‘Last Strike’ medal for scoring the last kill. I take it this medal is bugged? I’ve never had it awarded to me or anyone I’ve viewed in the carnage report.
I’ve also on multiple occasions earned medals for ‘Hill +15’ (Hold Hill for 30 seconds) and ‘Savior’ but these have never been awarded either. What’s going on?
Pretty sure those aren’t supported. I think “Last Strike” only is awarded if the gametype has “final sit rec” enabled, which nothing in matchmaking currently does. I’ve gotten it in customs, but it won’t work in matchmaking.
I think those other two work properly. “Savior” requires you to earn a Protector medal on your king and I think all the KOTH ones work fine. Never seen the “Regime Change” one yet, that one might be bugged.
The ‘Last Strike’ is only awarded for games that have the ‘final kill cam’ like Portal mentioned.
The ‘Hill Dominance’ medal is quite buggy though. It isn’t awarded when a player ‘holds the hill for its entire duration,’ rather it is awarded if you are in the hill when it spawns.
I currently have more ‘Hill Dominance’ medals than ‘Hill+15’ medals.
Edit: I think the ‘Regime Change’ medal operates correctly. It requires that the opposing team hold the hill for 10 seconds and then for you to overtake the hill and hold it for an additional 10. At least that is how it is described on Halotracker.
i have a bunch of savior medals but no last strike. I know I have gotten the last kill of a match in a bunch of games but havent gotten the medal
Thanks for the clarifications! A shame that the kill sitreps don’t work at all, final kills would be good to see in some games I’ve just had.
Huh I have 3 last strike medals
Small window of time to unlock since the final kill cam only lasted for what?
2 days? Then got taken away because they slowed the server times and crashed them I think.
I think Saviour medals are obtainable, but the Last Srike medal is bugged.
