The whole weapon progression system is unnecessary. They should just have random weapons scattered on the map like in other Battle Royales and have everyone start with either a Pistol or Commando.
it’s not rage quitting, it’s boredom quitting. if there’s nothing for you to do but not play the game, then people are gonna not play the game.
That’s a terrible take. Especially for the first players who run out of lives. They shouldn’t have any obligation to wait for the entire match to end.
Unpopular opinion 2: Being bad at something should not be rewarded. No matter the game or game mode.
But players get “rewarded” for how well they do in the mode. Someone who is one of the first people to die likely isn’t going to get the score/kills of someone who is in the game longer. What you’re saying isn’t about rewarding players for being bad, it’s about punishing them for being bad. But they’ve already been punished by the fact that they don’t get to play in the match anymore. I don’t see why punishing them further is necessary.
Do people in PUBG/Fortnite/Warzone have to stay for the entirety of a match after they’ve been eliminated?
Just because you don’t win in LSS constantly doesn’t make you bad and some people only have a certain amount of time to play so they quit after losing all their lives to play some more Halo.
Your logic is hilariously flawed.
The disruptor, sidekick and the commando all need a magsize increase. When that happens, they’re fine.
But truly, I hate LSS in its current form. The BR should drop WAY sooner.
But they’ve already been punished by the fact that they don’t get to play in the match anymore.
If not getting a participation trophy (XP) for placing last (or anywhere in the bottom 9) is a punishment, than you’re right. Overall I agree that people should not wait the whole game after they are eliminated. They should also not earn XP for losing.
In general the losing team should not earn XP. In FFA players should not get XP unless they’re in the top 3.
Like I said, this is an unpopular opinion. The constant dopamine hits in modern games have turned most gamers into XP fiends.

People don’t have to do anything. If you are asking if they should get XP for losing, I don’t think they should.

True. But if they were (one of) the first people to get knocked out than they were bad in that match. If you remember Halo 2 and Halo 3, you got 0 XP if you did not place in the top 3 in FFA. You say people have a certain amount to time to play. That is great. They should quit the game after they get KOed and find another match. Big whoop. It’s just some XP that they don’t get.

Meh. I’ve seen your other posts. This means nothing.
sidekick
That little guy is already pretty OP. I can see a buff to the disrupter and commando, but the sidekick is already too good.
On paper, it’s good, but in practice, it means the only people who see the end of the game are the ones with the most skill.
Isn’t that the point of the mode? I’ve won a (small) handful of LSS matches, and it was a bit of luck, but mostly my “skill” at avoiding the other players at the beginning ![]()

This I disagree with, especially with a challenge system as tedious and aggravating as Infinite’s. That would just make the game even more of a chore to play. I think everyone should get something, just more based on how well they performed.
Personally, I don’t care overmuch about XP and ranks or whatever. I grew up playing CE where there weren’t even medals, just the postgame carnage report. For me, losing is punishment enough by itself, and winning is the best reward in of itself. Win or lose, I just want to have fun. But being punished to an irritating degree for not doing as well isn’t fun, or conducive for retaining a healthy playerbase, which Infinite needs.
In contrast, you’re dumb if you don’t trade off the Disruptor for a better gun, JS. Imagine losing because you got Sworded because you wanted to be smart and use the Disruptor till the end.
memeing on bad players like that is the only joy one can possibly get from this game
Halo Infinite is one of my top games of the past 5 years where I have more fun talking about it than playing it ![]()

You’re right. Infinite’s system is terrible. It would be great if winning a game gave players 500XP. By the way, that’s 500xp without it going down every game like rewards system is currently. And if they’re a player that can’t win most of their matches they could fall back on the challenges for their progress. Yeah the season pass will be completed quick but who cares? This isn’t like Destiny or cod where the stuff you get in the pass helps you in the story or MP.
I’ll be honest I forgot how bad the XP system in this game is and treated it as any other modern game when I made my earlier comments.
Overall, I’d be happy with just a score card at the end of games too.
People don’t have to do anything. If you are asking if they should get XP for losing, I don’t think they should.
People do get XP for losing. Challenges don’t hinge on victory or loss. If you get a challenge to complete a LSS match and you die early on. You’ve still completed that challenge.
Are you saying that that in particular shouldn’t count or that all your progress should be reset after a loss? Those are your two options in the context of how Infinite rewards xp.
Both sound ridiculous.

Being bad or good in a singular match is going to affect your challenge progress regardless. Mind you, this is a challenge based xp system. Not strictly merit based, as would apply to a progression system.
If they leave, they continue to get 50xp after 7 matches. What big difference does that make? Also, Halo 3s system was a ranking system - not comparable to just grinding to progress for cosmetics.
Meh. I’ve seen your other posts. This means nothing.
Nothing your suggesting makes any sense in the context of a challenge based system or a social progression either. And yes, I’m sure if other people looked at the cosmetic toggle thread they’d totally side with your mental gymnastics.
lmao
Read the reply to @vlexis above. I’d rather not have a progression or challenge system in a game where those systems make no sense. You misunderstanding my opinion and getting booty tickled by it is your problem.
This is subjective. I LOVE the Disrupter and would often win games with it. Rarely upgrade past Disrupter + AR loadout until I get the Bulldog.
