Last Spartan Standing 2.0 - THIS IS IT!

Suggestions for Last Spartan Standing (LSS) 2.0

(Goal: make LSS more enticing for players and reduce the amount of camping)

  1. Killzone timer begins earlier

  2. If your spawnpoint is within the Killzone you gain a short damage immunity or extra Shield until you enter the playzone (1-3 seconds)

  3. Remove Infinite Ammo and instead have the already existing weapon racks serve as ammo stations to refill your Ammo or add new refill stations scattered around the map that you need to move to for the ammo refill

  4. New DropPod approach: - No more Overshield(OV) or Camouflage(Camo) inside Droppods, no more random Drops, and unknown timers.

  5. Now Droppod will contain either A) Snipe B) Bulldog, both with a small ammo count

  6. Introduce the Droppod as a Map Event: the Droppod will be announced for all and where it lands and when it will be, similar to the vehicle drop in BTB

  7. This should act as an incentive to fight for the Power weapon and cause people to come out of hiding (just like Bonus XP)

  8. Also this will allow players to know what is on the map and it will make the combat more rewarding for the winner to have a “slight” advantage over the others

  9. Introduce a Juggernaut Bot: He will serve as a Boss encounter that players can engage with if they want to.

  10. He will have increased Health and reduced movement speed and is equipped with AR (?)

  11. He will be confined to a specific Area (We believe the Navpoint movement can be adjusted for the Bot, as it can be in Forge) so that he doesnt go around the Map and kill everyone (e.g. Warzone Halo 5 Boss)

  12. Reward for killing the Juggernaut Bot is 1 Level Up and for the Assist you gain 100points

  13. New Level Up tree:

(Remove Sword and Bulldog entirely)

Introducing an equipment (1x time use per life) as a secondary instead of a second Gun as it should feel more rewarding of having a secondary gun

Example:

  • Level 1: Disruptor
  • Level 2: 1x Repuslor plus Disruptor
  • Level 3: Sidekick plus 1x Grapple
  • Level 4: Commando plus 1x Threatsensor
  • Level 5: Commando plus 1x Grapple Hook
  • Level 6: Battle Rifle plus 1x Dropwall
  • Level 7: Battle Rifle plus Sidekick

If possible, we would like to see the removal of the spartan outlines for all players for this mode, as that will make it a more thrilling experience by blending with the environment and using it to your advantage. It also allows a better approach and attack on Spartans with high ground advantage

Let me know what you think. With Halo Infinite’s Forge we make LSS much more fun in my opinion.
Better maps and a fixed version.

LSS was almost perfect as it was, except for Overshield and Cloak, its problem is the community that simply sucks at shooting and can’t get a kill without BR, Spanker, a vehicle, Gravity Hammer, Energy Sword etc., it was basically the most competitive, skill-based mode the game has ever saw hence almost nobody played it and it had been removed as a result. Your points except the 2nd one which I think is very fair, are basically bringing in all the BS noob noskill stuff back in, just… stick to Fiesta instead maybe?

The problem with LSS is that Halo is not designed for Battle Royale / elimination style game modes. I’ve said this when Halo Infinite launched and people told me to shut up, told me I was wrong.

LSS got taken away, a flagship game mode for season 2 no less… because people didn’t like it. LSS and any other rumoured Battle Royale will not save Infinite and won’t get the play time it needs to stick around.

That’s a fact. History is the evidence.

Well, you can’t expect people to like a game mode that solely relies on aiming and shooting guns with so disastrous controls. And unless the rumored BR mode offers vehickes, bazookas, sword, hammer etc. it would indeed face the exact same fate as LSS.

Original LSS was best LSS. They patched the fun out of it.

I preferred the initial release weapons rotation as well, although the non stop canos and overshields were a burden that was patched in the second release.
