It might also be added to regular weekly challenges if it sticks around. Since this is some kind of proto-BR I wouldnt be surprised if they keep it around unfortunately.
Those free collectable EXP things are also going to give campers away too if they rely on camping in a spot too frequently.
I’d say for now, it’s a good bet that if you see collectable exp lying around, there’s probably a good chance someone will be camping it. If you see a bunch of them together then you can probably make a smart guess that someone is there camping.
why the hell do i need to get 10 back whacks?
10 melee kills who thinks of these things?
The zone starts “once five minutes have passed or when all players are out of respawns.”
That’s an interesting insight. I hadn’t checked but I’d guess my games ended like that too.
That’s actually a boss strategy lmao
It literally rains camo all over the map the whole game. Just get one or two and wait for ppl to jump in front of you lol
I won 3/4 games by simply hiding in the back corner and letting everyone kill each other off. Good times! LOL
This is a prototype of what Halo Battle Royal will be.
- KEEP THAT IN MIND -
A very boring and anti-social mode.
Ive never been shot in the back while shootibg someone more than in this gamemode. Then spend 5 minutes just trying to find someone again.
Personally not a fan of big areas with a little amount of people
As an avid FFA player, and FFA being my favorite way to play I will say I don’t like this game mode either. I don’t like the forced and limited weapons. I definitely don’t like how camping is pretty much encouraged and pretty much can help you win. I haven’t really decided if I am going through with these event challenges. I will probably knock a few out here and there if I complete the event ok but not going to worry about not completing it. Just glad I started doing Microsoft/bing rewards so I didn’t have to use my real money on this season.
Another strange thing is if you die while the danger zone is at its smallest, it spawns you outside of the zone in the blinding red, losing your shield. So you can’t see a thing as you make your way back in and the other guy is just hiding putting shots in you before you even enter.
Strange choice.
343 encourage us hide behind, the evidence is that there is a challenge need to kill guys from back there times
I haven’t checked anything out yet, but what I’m seeing from what I’ve played. Map designs seem to be an issue in infinite. When you have maps that are tiny and a cluster it causes more issues, and just because 343 removed collusion that they thought would solve this them issues, it didn’t and never will.
Bungie has the same problems with D2 maps being the fact they made a lot of 4v4 maps. 4v4 size maps literally do not work for 6v6.
-
The maps are too small especially having the ability to Sprint across the entire map in seconds.
-
Spawn points are always an issue, they become camping points to pick off players, etc…
-
This one I hate the most and it is literally the developers fault for designing tiny cluster maps. It causes players to only use certain short range weapons, and it explains why there are unnecessary nerfs in a game like the shotgun in infinite that feels like garbage when using it. The shotgun is only an example.
-
The overdone “balancing” in infinite has caused way too many issues with weapons/vehicles, and poorly designed maps caused the poor decisions.
I could easily go on how poorly the maps are designed in infinite, but I think you should get the point. 343 literally needs to stop treating infinite like CoD. It doesn’t work for Halo and it never will. They need to look at how the original Bungie, actual gamers that created Halo on how they designed their maps, even though some were tiny, they were set up to (only be 4v4 maps) and there was no sprint that changes everything.
I don’t care if I missed the point. A lot of the poor decisions in this game are cased by poor map designs, and 343 seriously needs to look into improving how maps are designed and actually play test them.
Add the weapon swapping into a QP team mode and that would be exciting.
I dont mind the weapons but I wish there was a way to keep which of the two weapons you have. I would much rather keep the sidekick for the majority of the match but the game makes me ditch it right away.
One of my big gripes, people are constantly either invisible or overshielded. The frequency is too much, map should be smaller (like launch pad size) and get rid of the bull**** powerups.
You’re a better man than I am…
I played 4 games, wanted to throw my controller every game and decided the event items aren’t worth my time or sanity
I can’t force myself to play it, I refuse
The game mode (IMO) is utter garbageand not enjoyable
