Since a reveal is coming up very soon (presumably), how about some abrupt last minute speculation. Firstly, lets cover the Legendary Planet (LP).
The Legendary Planet
I will start by saying that this and this are most certainly NOT this and this, but I am almost poositive that it IS this. This could mean a lot of things, the most probable being very improbable on its own: Halo 4 will have a split campaign- one with John and Cortana and the other following a group of Spartan IVs from the UNSC Infinity. Again, this is improbable considering 343i said they are focusing on the Chief this time around.
As for the LP… The obvious point would be calling it a Shield World, but where is the mystery in that? I think we should have an open mind for now… But it’s definitely a hollow planet. Why else would the planet open up to John’s arrival and seemingly suck him in? How else could this be explained? A second hole between the outer shell and an inner shell leading to where all the light comes from. It’s fairly obvious if you ask me. It also really seems like you can see the earth rising in the background of this image.
Enemies
The Ancient Evil was highly hinted to be either the Flood or the Precursors in the book Halo: Primordium. I think it’s a safe bet the Precursors will play a large role in the upcoming trilogy. But would they really be the only enemies? Evidence suggests the answer is no- it suggest we will be fighting Forerunners, too.
Evidence:
Ending of the last CEA terminal.
Creation of a war between human and Forerunner forces a few thousand years ago, fuel to the fire.
This. The picture seems to contain a red Mark VII (not necessarily, but the new armor from Halo 4) holding a Battle Rifle and shooting at a variety of sentinels in a scenario that isn’t even vaguely familiar. There seem to be multiple types of sentinels, too.
On topic, could this be a sentinel too? And how does all of this relate to the ship that crashed on Halo 40,000 years before Halo 4? And now that we’re speaking about the ship, does it look almost exactly like this or is it just me? At least the architecture is similar.
Gameplay
Will the BR return? As seen here and heard here (three round burst weapon?), it seems very possible.
The Armor- according to Glasslands, the Mark VII can fix itself and upgrade itself within cryo. How could this work into gameplay? Maybe we will have an Armor system instead of a health system, where there will be a certain cool-down until the armor fixes the damage done to it?
Destructibility was hinted by 343i in an article now removed, could this be real?
343i look to inject new life into Halo multiplayer, how?
The Rocket Pistol, or how I call it- the Gristol (because it’s not really a rocket pistol, it’s a grenade pistol), will be in the game and will be awesome. It seems like the grenades it shoots sticks, as can be seen in the Announcement trailer around the one-minute-mark.

Yeah, I know, I’m an idiot. Read through it like 3 times and didn’t see the difference. Apparently I’m limited
EDIT: Seems like this word is censored on waypoint. I never wrote limited.

Thanks for posting that, I’ve never seen it before.
I found a few other pictures of it and the bigger Sentinel is a Sentinel Enforcer, seen in Halo 2.

That’s the one. I miss those big guys. Hopefuly they’ll bring them back in Halo 4.
