Though terribly executed to say the least. It’s pretty much a miniature BR and gun game fused into one.
To improve…
Put in respawns.
Remove the gun game aspect
If it’s going to be on BTB maps, have weapon spawns. Also if it’s going to be on BTB maps, have a BTB mode for it.
That pretty much sums it up I think.

Did you get it out if your system? Do you feel better now?
Because I gave the game type criticism and where it can be improved?
Go take your energy elsewhere or something worthwhile.

I found it exciting actually - it feels rather refreshing compared to the traditional game modes. I actually even like watching how the winner emerges, instead of leaving immediately. I only wish we could comment as we were spectating, my only gripe with this game mode is that it discourages social interaction (especially since you can’t search for it with your friends.)
Lets see how we feel about it in a month.

Your changes would just make it regular BTB… Except FFA I guess?..
It’s an evolution of escalation slayer at its core. You shouldn’t take that away. The ring has barely impacted the game from my experience so far. Most games are ending before it gets anywhere close to meaningfully moving players.
And the map is in the BTB playlist. It has every single mode

No, my changes would make it a normal Battle Royale game type.
It’s essentially what Last Man Standing is, while at the exact same time being more a gun game type than anything. This at best is a miniaturized BR with a forced gun game aspect, not at all an evolution of Escalation Slayer.

Go play a battle royal then? They replicate what you “feel” much better than whatever infinite is trying. I’m not even joking. It seriously seems like you haven’t touched another game, definitely not a battle royal, if you’re tantalized and stimulated by this game mode.
I don’t mind having a starting loadout, but I feel you should be able pickup other ppl’s guns. Like I just killed a dude who had a shotgun with a disruptor. I deserve the shogun more than him imo.
