I was continuing an in-progress LASO run that I had started during S1 (I’m also using the Tank Gun). I can’t pinpoint the exact time, but it seems that some time around capturing FOB Lima, the bandana skull became deactivated. I tried checking the patch notes to see if Bandana was purposely removed from LASO saves, but couldn’t find anything. Has anyone else come across this issue.
I don’t want to progress if this isn’t going to count towards the achievement, but I can’t find much about what happened.
How could you tell that it seems as though the Bandana skull has been turned off? I’m currently going through LASO, but decided not to use the tank gun as Rockets seemed just fine. Without Bandana, that’s going to be quite the mistake, on my part.
Same thing happened to me after update… I turned it back on and started playing again… I just completed my LASO run and no achievement! The tracker is stuck at 88%
I also dont think its a case of it turning off earlier and not realizing it and getting a check point… because at no point while playing did I run out of ammo. So not sure what the issue is.
I have the same problem here. I was at the house of reckoning before patch and when I tried to load my save after the S2 release, I noticed that the bandana skull is unchecked in the loading page. I put it back on and loaded my game. Beat blademaster and escharum and went to the final level of the game only to realize the achievement still sits at 88% (should have gone further because of beating a mission). Somebody please come up with an answer, I have spent a lot of time doing this and don’t wanna miss it and start ALL OVER AGAIN W/O MISSION SELECT!
The othwr thing that is going to suck is once mission select comes in August i dont think we will be able to play those woth the tank gun… unless you can somehow access the missions from the open world in the save game where you have the tank gun. Otherwise you will just start the mission wothout it… still better I guess then started completely over but doing those last two missions without at least unlimited, shock grenades and a rocket launcher is going to make it super hard… it was bad enough with the tank gun
I personally think the issue with LASO not unlocking stems from the fact that the Bandana Skull shows 0/1 on the TAC Map at Silent Auditorium. Regardless of it being collected prior, having the achievement for collecting all skulls and being able to enable/disable the actual skull in the menu. The game clearly thinks it hasn’t been collected.
I haven’t tried (due to lack of spare time) but has anyone tried an easy playthrough since updating to the S2 patch and verified if the skull is able to be collected at Silent Auditorium? if it is, I wonder if this updates the pre S2 LASO saves TAC maps to show Silent Auditoriums skull as 1/1.
I also completed had a LASO run ongoing pre S2 patch and couldn’t complete prior to the update as I was stuck on harbinger, but I did complete after updating, noticed at the time Bandana was unchecked when I was about to LOAD the game, so just turned it back on and continued, only to be award legendary difficulty achievements but not Headmaster. My LASO tracker is currently stuck on 70% which was the same as my Heroic and Legendary Achievements.
I did also report this to support and suggested that I hope they have some way of tracking which missions have been credited/completed with all skulls on (much like how each mission shows the difficulty emblems highlighted/completed on), so when mission select arrives, I can replay just the missions it thinks I didn’t have all skulls on for the LASO criteria.
With that mission select in mind, I do hope that it’s implemented in a way that takes the weapons you have in the open world. So you can for instance, go to a FOB, load up with specific weapons and jump into the level. Which should also allow tank gun to be taken.
And finally, with the tank gun having been reinstated, I wish it can be obtained multiple times, just in case it’s dropped accidentally and we can go grab it in the open world. I’m sure this flexibility will allow people who only want to play or use one save without the worry of ever losing access to the tank gun (which is fun) and promote the use of other weapons for their game play outside of the generic tank gun and sword combo. For example, Arcane sentinel beam is OP in LASO, but who wants to risk losing the option of tank gun to that?
Yes, I have went through the campaign on easy mode. When I showed up at the “Silent Auditorium” at the beginning of the mission it showed the skull had been collected (1/1) . During the mission I went to the location of the skull and it wasn’t there. After completing the mission, on the TAC Map it showed that the “Silent Auditorium” had a 0/1 for the skull. This is definitely a glitch and needs a patch from 343.
