So a couple of friends and I beat shutdown and dawn on laso, that is legendary all skulls on EXCEPT BLIND. I heard there was an emblem for it and fiddled aroun for an hour or two. I can’t seem to find anything that suggests you need blind, I hate the skull but don’t want to go trough everything having to do it again later. Anyone know/thoughts?
And btw, how does the whole glyph thing work? I saw some forum posts about it but have no idea what to do to get the codes (and I want to figure a few out by myself)
the glyphs : click in career, look for Classified, click on it.
input glyphs, receive armor/xp
LASO: Legendary All Skulls On
You left the Blind skull off, meaning that you didn’t complete it on LASO(Mythic). Sorry but that won’t count.
LASO = Legendary ALL Skulls On. What else would it mean?
This is also a big question of mine. I orderd some crosshair decals online to stick on my TV just to be sure. I’d really like to know if I could just leave blind off before I start.
Also, do stats on Waypoint show what skulls were on when I beat campaign missions. If I wasn’t on my phone I’d check for myself.

Waypoint stats do show what skulls were active during a run.
Yes it does require you to do it with the blind skull. And I friggin hate that skull too. I did the campaign on solo Legendary from my first playthrough. I am confident enough to activate most of the skulls. I can deny Iron’s effect using the save and quit glitch, but I can’t stand blind. On Legendary and on LASO your HUD is your only lifeline against the hordes of invincible alien monsters. Making a skull which takes that away is just plain evil to me. I consider LASO to be all skulls on except blind. Turning off your HUD activates the Mythic difficulty. I did complete a few LASO challenges in Reach but Mythic is just too much torture for me to endure.
I know how to enter the glyphs, just not where to get te clues and solve them myself…
And anyway, until proven otherwise, I’m leaving blind off. The 2 missions only took me like an hour and a half total

Well that’s your opinion but ultimately the A still means All, and you won’t be gaining the emblem without Blind.
> Turning off your HUD activates the Mythic difficulty.
Mythic’s always been (Solo)LASO + no deaths + no use of the save & quit workaround + game stats (if available) + a film for proof.
There’s a sticky thread basically stating this. I can’t believe people still confuse LASO for Mythic; the differences are key in defining the two.

Sigh, what is wrong with you people where you assume LASO means Legendary All Skulls On-but-Blind-doesn’t-count-cause-it’s-a-pain-in-the–Yoink-.
Whatever. If you go through every level sans Blind, enter the code, and don’t get the emblem, that’s your problem, not mine or 343’s.
i don’t mean to sound like i’m gloating or whatever (cause i’m not really that great, i do like to think i’m decent though) but does anyone else find that there is almost no difference in their gameplay with or without the bind skull? i can mostly target the enemies just by using muscle memory (from 10+ years of halo playing i suppose).
i discovered this in reach when playing firefight with blind on for the LOLs, i could still get a lot of headshots…
i just wanted to know if other players were kinda good at that too or if i just had a weird skill…? i mean the AI aren’t that hard to target, they’re pretty predictable.

Once you’re used to it, it’s hard to forget where your cursor should be. I’ve been used to using Blind for ages, but it throws some people off a lot when it really shouldn’t.
You know, i never understood why there’s a Blind Skull. Its a pain to use. Why is it even in the game?

yeah okay, i’m glad i’m not the only one then. it’s like when i play i don’t really focus on actually lining up the reticule on my target (most of the time that is). i just kinda know when my target is going to be in the center of the screen. i land shots all the time in multiplayer where i’ll jerk the analog to aim at an enemy on the edge of the screen and usually always stop aiming right on them or if i aim to far i can usually place a shot on them when my reticule briefly crosses over them. if that makes sense…?
my friends watch me played blind and they can’t comprehend it, i guess i just play too much. Halo is my one and only, all time favorite console game(s).
I wish there was a skull called like “Farsighted” and you could see you gun but no HUD, that would be so much better.
People really need the reticule that badly? Aim in the middle of the screen…
I could probably do without it, I beat reach with blind on. It’s just that it gets a bit annoying with no motion tracker. Doesn’t matter, if it req blind I can always do it again. Btw, I think laso means not blind not ecause it s pain but historically halo has not included it to be, even if the community has. Do you have any proof that it requires it, or are you just guessing?
LASO on Reach was something i attempted and found some minor success.
I tried the first level on Halo 4. It didnt end well and seeing how the game ramps up the difficulty a bit with the Covenants and the ultra tanky Knights.
Suicide. Absolute suicide.

Historically the first LASO challenge in Reach included Blind, then the community -Yoinked!- like mad because it was ‘too hard’, so Bungie stopped including it to appease the whiners. Doesn’t mean that LASO does not require Blind however.
As for proof, well I don’t know of anyone who’s unlocked it without using all 13 skulls. I know it was glitched earlier today cause people got it only after having done a few levels, instead of all of them, but that was fixed pretty quickly according to some other people’s comments.
If you get it without Blind, consider it luck. If not, you’ve just got to knuckle down and re-do it with Blind.
Thanks for the response. I’ll be arguing with myself over what to do now
