Take this all with a grain of salt as we have not seen much more of the gameplay yet.
I think LASO in infinite has a chance of being one of the hardest, and at the same time one of the easiest, all because it is an open world game.
The grappleshot, openworld, and speed run tricks could make it very easy to complete, dont want to fight a group, take a wide berth and avoid them
But it could also be one of the hardest as there could be a skull that would not allow for the use of equipment, thus making it so dome firefights can not be cheesed or avoided.
Plus the fact it is open world means you could die, and have to spend another 30 minutes to get back to where you were.
No agian this is all speculation, just some thoughts I had about LASO in this game, and how hard/easy it could be
The game world is open yes but you’re still going to be having dedicated mission segments, it’s just how you get to those missions which is different, instead of a loading screen you’re able to travel and explore.
I also think that checkpoint systems are going to be in place to save you from having to travel 30 minutes to get back to where you were.
You’re certainly going to have a lot more options available to you in Infinite but a lot of the traditional formula in mission isn’t likely to change all that much.
I doubt you’re going to be able to just completely avoid large portions of the game by just going around enemies in a mission, the open world sure thing that’s possible.

Never even thought of this. Imagine a skull that takes away your sprint, Suddenly you’d have to get across the map at a snails pace.
Wasn’t the open world part kinda derived from ODST? I suspect that the LASO challenge is going to involve the specific mission segments that are linear(ish) instead of the open world segments inbetween.
Also as Ken2379 mentioned there’s alot of new possibilities involving the modifiers. I’m also always up for extra bonusses on certain difficulty levels.

It could be a nice experience if traveling feels unique everytime. Trekking through Skyrim instead of fast travelling always provided you with a new adventure and was a fun way to replay the game.
After playing the Tech flight, recalling The Tough luck skull increased the AI difficulty, The bots in Halo Infinite can actually out strafe elites from previous installments. I conclude that Elites an Brutes on Heroic, Legendary will strafe too.
Maybe we could get achievements for Mythic difficulty( not LASO). ( I quit my LASO attempts on previous titles quickly, as many weapons are nearly useless, an the blind skull.)
strategy is rewarded: Atleast Tough Luck, Mythic, an Thunder skulls will be on by default! The enemies are more formidable but so are your valuable buffed allies.
LASO will be more difficult!! Yet far more people will probably complete the challenge instead of quitting, as the game will be more engaging an entertaining at this extreme difficulty. Why these claims are based on : 1. Semi open world. 2. The Bots, the AI has vastly improved.
judging from the trailer it looks like a decent bit of enemies are guarding elevators (i think you cant skip the elevators) so maybe grappling you can avoid running into some enemies especially since its open world but other sections it would be pointless. Im not saying elevators are in every lvl just parts where you may have to clear out the enemies.
