I am contemplating to try the campaigns Solo LASO. Only need like 16 achievements to be at 100% for the MCC and most of them are LASO related.
Anyone here did the LASO campaings Solo? Is it possible for a average player like me? Anybody wants to join the fun?
Every tip will be helpful regarding skulls for each game. If the Bandana skull is allowed I think it can be done.

Definitely possible, you just need a lot of patience and time. I recommend looking up Halo Completionist’s LASO guides, they will help out a ton.
Keep in mind that you have to complete the LASO playlist/s for the achievement/s to count.
I wish you the best of luck, as long as you don’t give up, you got it.

I personally thought solo laso was easier than coop laso because you can do the save and quit method. I don’t consider laso to be difficult in the same way the legendary speed runs were either. laso is more of an endurance race than a sprint. Take your time, watch a few guides, and make a reticle to tape to your tv. It’s honestly not as bad a it seems at first glance. Let us know how your runs go!
Edit: I second what fl4me said above. Be sure to go through the laso playlist. If you try to start a new game and select the skulls manually, the achievement won’t pop

Not to mention that co-op can be mega laggy and can even crash and when you go back to the playlist you have to restart the level you were doing so imagine if you were doing Gravemind or Cairo Station co-op and then all of a sudden one of you guy’s internet just went away your game crashed and you had to do the level all over again. PLus the input delay can also be very annoying.

Thanks so far for all the advice and nice words.
One of my biggest concerns is ammunition. Because I really hope LASO means infinite ammunition, a little glimmer of hope.
Definitely no unlimited ammo. Quite the opposite in fact. Guns will have less ammo than they normally would, and in some of the games every shot will use 2 bullets. Planning each encounter becomes vital. In some cases you will save grenades/rockets for the entire level just so you have them at 1 critical spot

I’ve done every game on CLASO and SLASO (except for Reach, did it CLASO). I would say CLASO is an easier experience for the most part in H3, H4, HR, and ODST. Having an extra gun really helps clearing some large rooms, that said it also adds another body for the covenant to shoot when trying to perform risky skips and tricks. If you can tolerate the input lag CLASO is the easier choice for these games, otherwise SLASO isn’t much harder you just run the risk of forgetting to save and quit in time which has happened to me more than once.
Then there is CE and H2
Both of these titles have skips and glitches that are almost always easier to perform solo. Levels like the library and gravemind turn your second player into a huge liability. Your better off following Halo Completionists guides solo for these titles. I can’t tell you how much of an easier time I’ve had on CE and H2 playing SLASO and following modern guides.

I completed CE, ODST (both playlists), and H4, all solo LASO. You need to be mentally prepared, and I mean it. You can easily spend 7 hours on a single level. Some levels are very challenging but still somewhat doable, others are just straight up stupid. Like T&R, or Cairo Station. Yeah good luck with those. I think you should start with ODST. Its probably the easiest of the bunch.

I did them all solo. Just need a lot of time and patience besides being able to do know speedrun strats in certain areas of the games, but not as much since LASO is much slower and more methodical. As some have said, ODST is the easiest and you should start with that one to get a feel for things. As you might expect, Halo 2 is leagues harder than the others and has a lot more skulls and variables designed to ruin your life. You will face the most stress with Cairo, Regret, and Gravemind. Halo Completionist is the man for most of these but for Gravemind specifically I would look up the video from GB Austin. The prison skip is hard to pull off but basically mandatory. Good luck on these, they are easily the hardest things I have ever done in my gaming life lol

I wasn’t able to complete CE and Halo 2 under 3 hours each. So I am not sure about Halo 2 LASO.
I have completed Halo CE LASO solo only.
