What’s up with all the Navy uniforms in Halo having the deadspace health bar on their back? I know 343 was trying to give Halo a new look, but did they really have to change it that much?

Really I thought tron meets the matrix…
A lot of 343i’s staff is ex-EA. Most likely why the spartans have Crysis-esque armor as well.

Ex-EA? You mean ex-dead space?

I mean that they used to work for EA which owns both Dead Space and Crysis. It’s possible that they worked on one or both of those games and wanted to add that flavor to Halo 4.
Somebody has pointed out one of the less noticeable copy tactics 343 used, adapt to survive is running strong and I don’t like it.
does this mean that 343i has inherited EA’s horrid customer support?
While I did notice that, it doesn’t bother me.
I hope to hear the BLEEEP if any of the crew of the Infinity dies, now.
Crysis armor is dope and I can see some resemblance. I think the armor in this game is best. I just don’t like that the undersuit color cannot be changed.

I hate that. Halo is Halo and Halo is different from Dead Space and Crysis. Now we see Halo changing because the developers want to change Halo into some thing its not./rant
This community i swear.
343 simply gives some guy in the story some little futuristic aesthetic piece, and then the whole community starts screaming “343 COPIED DEAD SPACE!” “343 COPIED COD!” “343 COPIED NASA!”
Chill. You only see this guy in cut scenes.
Maybe since Dead Space 3 removed the survival and horror element to try and cater to CoD players and mobile users to turn it into just a mediocre third person shooter that they thought it was similar to Halo’s action?

now i get how halo 4 ended up like it did… EA, death of games. Mass Effect turned to poop after they got their hands on bioware…
I response to the OP, I guess it could be a minute shield generator

You guys really are just picking out everything you can at this point. This is a pretty sad comparison.
While I did find it blatantly copied from Dead Space’s RIG suits, I did like the look of it.
I really liked it in Dead Space, great way to keep a lookout for your partners (in a canon sense) - I thought it was pretty cool Halo has it now.
And Halo has made it more futuristic on their uniforms, streamlined instead of the bulky protruding health bar of Dead Space.
I like the change, even if its completely ripped off from another game. (cue COD comparisions.)
wonder if the flat line sound comes up when one of those Navy officer dies?
I loved the design of the Dead Space outfits, health meters included so it’s not a problem at all imo.
I liked the flatline sound effect as well.
LMAO… I swear, do you some of you ppl go through with intentions of finding the smallest things to complain about… COD I see but Crysis and Deadspace seriously?
Its likely due to using the same artists, as others have mentioned, alot of 343’s staff is ex-EA.
The first halo triology had a different set of concept artists. Halo uniforms have changed since the original though before though.
