Lasky And Palmer

I’m posting this on behalf of a friend he seems to think that Lasky and Palmer seem to have a relationship. Do you agree or is he just crazy?

It wouldn’t surprise me. I have seen some bigger twists, but going off what we have now we couldn’t say.

The only guy she’s overall nice to? Maybe. But then again, he’s the Captain. But then again, she’s not too bad lookin’, so maybe he can use his Captain-ness to persuade her. But then again, she doesn’t have Silva’s lips. But then again, she’s a Spartan. But then again, maybe Spartan girls aren’t his thing. But then again, maybe they both like each other, but won’t get together because of the missions. But then again, the cabin never has any missions. But then again, Roland can see every room all at once.

But in regards to the OP, I don’t believe it’s anything more than a high amount of respect and care for one another. When the campaign took place, both Lasky and Palmer were Del Rios’ puppets, But now Lasky has the helm. We know they’ve been deployed on at least one mission together (Campaign mission Infinity), so i’m sure they look out for each other back aboard the Infinity as much as they would in the field.

But hey, stranger things have happened!

Its just respect and good camaraderie between them that makes us think that way.

Although that would not suprise me, i must disagree. It seems like he just gives orders and she follows.

No.

She is his second in command, or at least it looks that way. Of course they are usually going to talk to each other alot. That plus just being nice to someone isn’t an indicator of a relationship.

By the way relationship can mean friends so I guess in one way they might have one in those regards.

She might respect him due to his respect for Chief as well. If you watch the final cutscene of Halo 4 it seems that Palmer holds great respect for Chief.

This was my impression, nothing romantic, just a couple of soldiers who probably have to share a level of camaraderie due to isolation a high rank usually incurs among peers.

One of the amazing things about the game’s cutscenes is Laskey, both the voice acting and graphics are conveying so much in unspoken emotion, more so than the other characters, and that’s saying a lot as they are all well done. But there is something about how Laskey is done in facial movements and tone of voice that you can get a read on what he’s thinking, his present attitude etc. Perhaps the best computer animated character I’ve seen to date.

I was definitely getting those vibes.

Started around episode 2, they’ve been using first names with each other since then, seems kind of odd given their positions, unless something more was happening.

Honestly, if they go with that then I’m cool with it. As long as it doesn’t get sappy.

OP: Asking for a friend? Really? Just come and and say what you think.

To be honest, I have the sick feeling they mean to pair off Palmer and John-117 for future games. I know that’s very unlikely given how John is and given how little they shared screen time in H4. But, rarer and stranger things have happened.

How old is Palmer? I know Lasky is older than Chief so…

I doubt it, Chief will be dealing with the loss of Cortana for at least the near future. Also, there has been no indication that John has been romantically interested in anyone.

The closest relationship he’ll probably have with one of the new characters will Lasky, given their history.

I so want to see Blue team back though with Chief though…

That should be the last thing on their minds.

The way they were talking to each other in the beginning of Spartan Ops when Palmer came to Lasky asking for more time to train in wargames… and the way they talk to each other in other areas… well i have a girlfriend and i know there is some chemistry between them

Lasky’s girl in Forward Unto Dawn… she died when they were still Cadets

That post was three years ago man, pretty sure he’s found the answer since then.
