I know this may seem like a complaint but i just want to point out some things I’ve noticed about the maps of halo 5 compared to…every other halo game. (This i my opinion dont take it too seriously to some it may feel the same it just feels different to me)
Warzone
The maps for warzone feel crowded and tight in alot of areas. The maps feel built more towards infantry and air combat while the ground vehicles minus the mongooses have to maneuver around somewhat crowded maps. For example the best open map would be Battle of Noctus. It is the most open Warzone map there is however it is the only real kinda open map. Blood gulch for halo 1 was pretty good for all around combat. In halo 2 you had Blood gulch V2, Halo 3 had well Sandbox(I think thats what its called) Halo 4 had Meltdown. I could go on. Most of the maps in halo 5 with vehicles felt tight confined and restrictive especially with the warthogs. Now im not saying that you need to make the maps super large like Battlefield 1’s operations(Although that would be frigging awesome) Make maps that are medium to large but have more open combat without fearing that the second you spawn a mantis or scorpion it wont get boarded or destroyed by a smart camper at the garage Or feeling one turn wrong will=Death. I feel maps like Valhalla, Exile, Even Death island would make great base plates for large scale warfare that is fair for vehicles and give plenty of cover for infantry alike. This also applies to Big Team Battle(For me).
Anyway this is just what i would like to see although i dont believe many people really care much about the map sizes to begin with.
