Do you guys think that there may be large scale one-sided game modes, similar, in concept, to Galatic Assault in Star Wars Battlefront II, added into Halo 6? For example, the attacking team may have to plant several bombs in different locations to complete the first objective and then from there capture a territory or a flag for the second objective. If the defenders kept the attackers from completing the objective for a specific amount of time, then they win and obviously if the attackers successfully completed all of the objectives then they would win. I think if implemented properly, these types of game modes would make for some large scale (20v20 at least maybe more depending on the map size) multiplayer fun and chaos that could be a successor or refined version of warzone.
An example I came up with for one of these gametypes would take place on a map based on the Halo 3 mission, “The Covenant.” The first objective for the attackers would be to plant a bomb in each of the three towers that you have to infiltrate and deactivate in the actual mission. The defenders could use AA wraiths, banshees, turrets, spartan lasers, rockets, fuel rods, etc to fend off the incoming wave of hornets, falcons, pelicans, etc used by the attacker who would try to land and plant the bombs. If the attackers completed this first objective, then they would have to try to capture a large territory located in the middle of the battlefield where the two scarabs land during the mission. This would be a massive battle with every ground and air vehicle and weapon being available to both teams. If the attackers complete this objective, then they would move onto the third and final objective. This would take place inside of the citadel where Truth is holed up during the mission. The attackers would have to capture flag located at the far end of the hall and bring it back to score it and win the game. The inside of the citadel would have to be modified from what it is in the actual mission to accommodate such large numbers of players. What I had in mind was a larger version of the Halo CE map Gephyrophobia that would be big enough to incorporate lighter vehicles such as mongeese, warthogs, ghosts and maybe a few banshees. This last objective would essentially be a huge and intense game of one-flag CTF. The map would probably have to adjusted in other ways here and there make it work for the other objectives, but I think it definitely could stay similar to the layout of “The Covenant” and still work.
This doesnt sound bad,I would play it.
