One thing I would love would be warzone size maps to be even bigger like 10 fold for warzone, invasion, or btb. Imagine having some of these battle royal sized maps so that Falcons, pelicans, and elephants are necessary for objectives. The halo sandbox is big enough to have some insane game types to implement these vehicles. Think Reaches Forge world on steroids. A game 50v50 for warzone, CTF, or Invasion and we we have to use falcons, pelicans, spirits, the
. For God’s sake pelican implementation needs to happen already. Or space battles, but that’s another thread…
A massive map like that doesn’t sound bad but Battle Royal isn’t on 343’s mind. They said the only BR they want to focus on is the battle rifle. Maps relating to that aren’t likely. I’ve seen some pretty massive forge maps in the past so maybe someone could create one via forge.
idk, ive never been a fan of those kinds of sizes. I get the draw coming from enjoying the battlefield series, but the downtime and spawning just ruins the game for me
The problem with this would be that you would need vehicles just to traverse the maps as they are so big, making basic weapons and even power weapons pointless. You would need vehicles constantly spawning in to get players into range of the enemy team. It would become a flustercluck of vehicle mayhem, which on the surface may seem fun, but that’s what custom games are for.
If a big map that size reduced the level cost of all vehicles except tanks and air vehicles it would encourage lots of vehicle battles. It could even spawn small numbers of warthogs and ghosts at home base at no cost to the team.
If 343 just focused on making a map like that play well in Warzone games alone, but enabled forge, it would be the best of both worlds. 343 wouldn’t have to dedicate any resources to a BR, and forgers would be able to create the mode. The one life foundation is already there from breakout.
So we would end up having an awesome (more than usual) vehicle focused warzone map, AND a BR mode…

Warzone did a really good job incorporating large firefights into halo, the only problem is they didn’t keep up with it. It got repetitive fast. Also considering your issue with respawn time, a very large map would decrease population area density l, which should lower deaths.

They should allow warzone to be forged. The more they allow the community to work on behalf of them the better.
