Lagging out of games for 20-45 seconds at a Time

The first week I had Halo 5 the multiplayer worked flawlessly and I reached Gold 6 in Arena.
However, for the past week it seems that every other game I get into the game gets these incredible lag spikes. The timer freezes for about 20-45 seconds and I die a time or two. I stop playing after it happens a two or three games and that disappoints me because it’s my favorite game in my library. I was wondering if anyone else experiences this and if there is a solution out there.

When I play Destiny or Mortal Kombat I don’t lag at all. Thanks for reading.

Seems to be a common issue no one at 343 is commenting on. Search around here you will see similar threads. My brother has the same issue and its ruining the experience for both of us. Time Warner Cable your ISP by chance?

Echoing the post before me, it sounds like a TWC issue that has been plaguing many users. Not sure who is at fault but both 343 and TWC aren’t talking. My guess is either piss poor programming or data throttling from TWC. I’m working hard to find the root cause.

I’m on Optimum/Cablevision and just had to reset the game again while in the middle of yet another Warzone match.

I had zero issues with the game until yesterday.

This happens to me too. I’m twc. Hope it gets fixed somehow:/

Actually, I do have Time Warner.
I did some research and tried to set port triggers according to a guide I read. It made things much worse.
I guess we can just hope it gets better so I can have fun with multiplayer again.

I have Comcast/Xfinity and I experience the same issues every time I play this game. Seems to be most common though when playing late at night. Has been happening since the game launched for me. Here is the ongoing thread.

I’ve been doing some research and not to take the heat off 343 but it might be data throttling from TWC, which is illegal. I have a ticket open with them and they are supposed to report back to me with findings BY the END of today. If they do not I have a few more troubleshooting steps I believe I can use as evidence of data throttling. If that is the case I’m bringing it to the local news channel and posting it all over the web. Seems like something that could be reported to the Better Business Bureau. Let me know what you guys think!
