During my time on Xbox live today I have been lagging out of matches to the point where I am lagging out so much that Halo Reach is banning me for 10 minutes at a time. What the heck is this nonsense. Halo Reach has never been this laggy and my connection to the internet is a hard line connection and that should not happen with a hard line connection at all. I’ve lagged out of 4/7 games today this is not expectable 343 Industries. I’d like to know more about what is being done to make playing on Reach better. I hope that I get a response back because I’ll start calling costumer service and go up the chain of command till I get an answer to why its so laggy. I’ve checked my connection and its fine.

Lagging out of games is counted the same as quitting, getting booted, dashboarding, turning your xbox off, and opening the disk tray (assuming you have the physical copy), or any other method you can think of.
Sucks, but I don’t think they can discern between them. Ending up in you getting banned for 10 minutes at a time.
People have been having trouble with matchmaking all week.
It’s happened to me as well. Unfortunately, it is difficult to discern between quitting and lagging out, so they’re treated as the same.
Yeah I mean it may be hard for them to discern between quiting and not quiting but they must now that the issue with matchmaking is really bad and makes playing almost impossible. If they now about this issue then they need to do something to figure it out. Its getting ridiculous. I’ve never had this issue before with Halo Reach and it quite frankly concerns me about its validity as a reliable online game. If they can’t figure something out then they need to take Halo Reach off of Xbox live and fix it before it can be played online. I mean these issues make it a faulty product if they can’t fix it.
That’s nothing. Last night I was in Firfight Arcade and my three teammates all lagged out and I was left alone. I stayed in the game till the end and because I was already on probation and I got the “player temporarily banned due to quitting” message. Getting quit banned when I didn’t even quit? I call shenanigans 343!
And to answer your question GrandJedi, yes my network connection has been extremely laggy lately too. I said it in another post- 343 doesn’t give a flying F*** about Reach anymore. They’re too busy milking the Halo teat (i.e. Halo 4)

I have checked my connection its pretty decent. I mean one thing which doesn’t help I think is being in college up in West Virginia, but besides that my connection is fine. I have been hearing though that hackers are having a field day with Reach though.

Thats what I suggested in another thread, but its caught onto me as well.
My upload and download speed is normal, so is my ping.
I even reset my router and modem just to be sure.
I wasn’t having any symptoms earlier this week, but now
just about every game I get into has a bad connection, everyone is yellow or red bar.
Even if it is green bar, you can still see the lag when throwing a grenade or taking a shot.
