I have been playing Halo 4 for a good long time since the release. But I have to say there is something which makes me angry. Like crazy.
It’s this lagging. I could say to 80% of the time I got killed in the game it’s because is this mini-lag.
For example: I have a BR duel with someone and we are even shooting in sync, I will die because my shots don’t get to him.
Sure, some people may have bad connection. But this can’t be the reason for my most kills?
Also I have a very good connection. Why can’t I be the host or at least the game look for a good connection? I had once to play with someone from Japan!!

I really start to dislike this game because of this fact. Because every shot counts this is very frustating.
Also, why did you removed the connection status behind their names in the match? Now I don’t even know who is with the bad connection. I kinda feel, that Halo 4 is one of the bad Halo Games when it comes to the MP.
We’ve got a pretty big thread going about it over in the Halo 4 forum, but basically the problem is:
Previous Halo games allowed you to search for games based on ‘Best Available Connection’
That option has been removed
Even if you didn’t select that search criteria, Halo 3 and Reach would match you up pretty exclusively with people in your region
Halo 4 doesn’t do that
For us playing in Australia, New Zealand and Japan, it’s a nightmare. We’re getting matched up with Americans, and it’s ruining all of our games. We don’t have anything against you, but with current internet technology we just can’t play together and have the lag be less than 150ms which is too high for an FPS.
So yeah, hopefully the matching system will be improved so you don’t have to play with us and we don’t have to play with you, otherwise I’m gonna throw my controller at my TV, snap my Halo 4 disc in half and shove a banana in my eye socket
But I have something against this game how it search for games.
I also did read that I’m not alone with this lag issue as it seems.
Kinda sad that 343 did not checked that or just “We’ll fix this any time soon”.
I’m from Germany and haves a pretty awesome connection (50 Mbit’s DL and 2.5 Mbit’s UL). Still what do I get - People from small islands or maybe the moon?
Is it that difficult for the game to find someone from Germany or at least Europe`?
I was already angry when I got in MW3 into a 100ms lobby. But here I join one with a 200ms?
