I’m just curious if anyone else has noticed that since the inception of the CSR, the DISGUSTING AMOUNT OF LATENCY and lag-switching? I’ve been playing Halo for ten years and have never seen it this bad. If something is not done to rectify this issue and I mean soon, I will no longer be purchasing ANYTHING made by 343 industries. I know it would break the bank to have dedicated servers. Please feel free to comment and if other people are as frustrated as I am, then we can all get together and play ANYTHING THAT ISN’T HALO!!! 343industries please fix HALO, because I really don’t want to resort to playing CoD or Battlefield, but I will if 343 industries keeps treating us like ATM’s instead of the loyal gamers we are. 343, PLEASE DON’T LET CAPITALISM DESTROY MY HALO EXPIERIENCE!!!

343 is under the control of Microsoft.
Microsoft doesn’t care about you or any other consumers wants.
Therefore 343 doesn’t care.
Switch to games made by better developers such as Valve, Treyarch, Bethesda.
They are the ones who care about their communities and give everyone what they want.

Lag is the fault of either your connection or the connection of the host during a game. The problem is not on 343’s end or everyone would be lagging. I have latency issues maybe once every ten to fifteen games.

I only mentioned treyarch mainly because of zombies and tournament styled league play. everything else about BlOps can die in a fire.
It’s your connection, or the host’s connection. It doesn’t have anything to do with 343, although the netcode is god awful.

I just don’t see a point in adding all that if the gameplay is still unbalanced and people are still having technical issues with the game that make it nearly impossible for them to play the game fairly. Imo, zombies is about the only good thing on CoD atm.
I doubt seriously that my 25.0 internet is lagging. It was working just fine until the CSR started. And yeah, go ask Gears players if they have as many problems with lag. The dedicated servers should be standard in modern FPS’s. I was just wondering if everyone else was having this problem or not. Why any of you would stick up for a multi-million dollar corporation instead of the consumer, and your fellow gamers, is beyond me. Maybe you should start making games instead of playing them, because your just adding to the problem.

Doesn’t matter if pub’s is unbalanced, League has some restrictions to balance the games out between teams.
Zombies they obviously care about since they seem to create big maps with something new with each one now and they patch the glitches pretty fast it seems.
They also had a weapon sandbox nerf so most of the overused guns are balanced except for the remington for some reason.
Treyarch’s games also have a better longevity since people still play WaW.
They are doing something right to keep the interest of a couple million players.
I dislike there games myself but I can’t deny that they are growing and Treyarch’s CoD is here to stay. (Infinity Ward most likely will die)

Just because you have a decent connection doesn’t mean you’re not going to lag. Maybe you’re just being placed on servers in different regions of the world.

The entire GDC response thread backs me up, so my assumption seems to be pretty accurate.
If 343 really cared then important changes would have been made, we wouldn’t have been lied to, there would be 500k+ people on the game daily, we would get an actual apology for GDC especially for the handicapped spartan.
We could have had a real Halo game that would beat the competition.

Local search is already enabled whether you see it or not.
But to answer you, the only way to “fix” it is to play during times most would play in your region.
Other then that I can’t say much.

Treyarch will stay only because CoD is a popular game, no more, no less. Just like how Twilight and Justin Bieber continue to dominate the entertainment market even though there are plenty of other people/movies more talented than these two.
I’m talking about gameplay in general. It is still unbalanced and I have played my fair share of Black Ops 2. 343i is tweaking their guns as well and I don’t doubt they will do it soon.
I think I’m just going to stop playing. Obviously the staff doesn’t care about the problem, and people are in here saying its my fault. Seeing has I don’t have these lag issues on any other game I play, obviously its my fault. So, 343, chalk up another player you lost, because it stopped being about making good games and started being completely about milking their customers. I have no problem supporting a game, but if the studio won’t even lift a finger to at least see if there is an issue, then I won’t bother spending my money on their product. Well they can’t exactly fix Halo 4 unless they remake the game and re-sell the new version to everyone again. (It is just not gonna happen)
But the only way to support the game now (it seems like) is to not buy Halo 5 unless the game is and updated Halo 3.

People will stop caring about Bieber and Twilight (everyone I went to jigh school with already has)
But CoD will always remain popular because no matter how unbalanced it gets, it is quick and simple to play, and you can jump in and jump out when ever you want.
It is a game that supports convenience for everyone.
A place in the market that Josh Holmes thought it was a good idea to make Halo 4.
Only to learn (actually I don’t think he learned anything) that Halo doesn’t belong there.

Twilight only because it’s finished but Bieber is still going strong. The only way people learn is through mistakes. I won’t go as far as to say 343i haven’t learned anything. They do listen to us occasionally and I believe they can improve with Halo 5 if 343i can take this feedback and incorporate it with their next gen console. I have faith in them even if others don’t. Well if Halo 5 comes out with the next-gen console then I will definitely not buy it if the rumors turn out to be true with the online only aspect, or the digital games, or the uselessness of used copies.
Besides it is rather obvious that 343 doesn’t really listen because if they did half of the playlists would have been correct, the weapon sandbox would have been balanced, we wouldn’t have the capability to spawn with a 1sk weapon or have the DMR in the game.
Plus we would have had an apology along with promises of title updates that would actually have an impact on the population on the game. (forge, custom games, and playlist gametypes)
