Every game in warzone there are lag spikes throughout the ENTIRE GAME that causes me to die to the most random BS by scrub players. This problem been happening for months still not fixed.
I recommend region lock come back or 343 hire a professional IT team to create more solid, stable servers as this work is not in their skill-set (Proof from MCC and Halo 5 - worst servers)
I have never experienced significant lag.
I have moderate connection in central Wisconsin (North Central US [I might be in the optimal location])
With Australia’s pitiful population and internet I have to match against Americans in most playlists. The lag is playable, but there is a clear advantage to the US players. I really need to play smart and work advantages to win. 1v1 I will never beat someone of the same skill level because ill have 200-400 ping and they will have 30-60. Sometimes its absolutely terrible and I rubber band, but even when it doesnt its a constant handicap.
Currently Team Arena and warzone are the only 2 playlists I can match with Aussies on. And Arena is subject to hours in the day.
To the guy above me, I lived in Australia during the release of Halo 5 and boy…What a bummer. Firstly, as you said, the lag was terrible. Most matches were alright but some where unplayable. Secondly, the populations were nonexistent. You could forget about finding a game of Warzone Assault or anything else that wasn’t team slayer. I recently moved to the states and thankful most of those issues have been resolved. The only issue I face now is constant disconnects. It mostly happens when I play infection. 1 out of 4 games disconnect me. This almost always happens.
