Lag Switchers, Cheaters, Bad Reputation Players

Noticed a large number of lag teleporting / in one spot, then in another, then back and then in another spot. Anyone else getting matches with lag switchers almost every other game ? Occasionally these players are moving through a scatter grenade or plasma unscathed… not plasmas that are off mapped, but active. Similarly- abundance of grenades that fail to explode.

Anyone know why player’s with bad reputation, harassing - team killing, quitters, etc… are in the same matches as people that are trying to enjoy the game ? Same applies to reported and blocked players getting into the same matching lobby.

I really fail to understand how Halo 5 is broken to this bad an extent.

Halo 5’s population isn’t what it once was, so in other words you’ll very likely get matched up with the same people. Blocking and muting has no effect on whether you’re more likely to be put in the same match as that individual. Apparently back on 360 the avoid/ prefered player system hardly if ever worked.

As for lag that could actually be your own connection, for me it’s pretty rare to have or see any lag while playing Halo 5 outside of people spawning gargantuan prefabs in Forge.

The only advice I can give is just wait a minute or so after a match then start another queue as the troublemakers will have been queued up into another match by then.

Reporting and blocking players used to work like you think it should, but like most things, it got horribly abused. So, instead of never matching with or against that person ever again, you just have a lesser chance of meeting them again.
