Lag Problem

Hi, I just want to know, maybe it’s just me, but I highly doubt it, but ever since last week, I have been lagging in almost all of my matchmaking games and Warzone games, and I swear before I play the game, I would reset my modem and my internet, every time and I still get lag all the DAMN TIME and it’s frustrating that I couldn’t enjoy the game when it’s constantly lagging and no other devices were on, and these lags are severe on my end, and Internet is very good, I had no problems when I was playing MCC’s multiplayer and I played both games today, so what is going on?

Most likely has nothing to do with your equipment or internet. Low population your probably getting put in with other countries. That’s been happening to me for a while now. Every time I hear Spanish I’m running into walls, etc… I also heard every time someone quits the game you get lag spikes.

Try playing with a hardwired connection to your internet with an Ethernet cable. That’ll improve your gaming quality for the better.

I’ll try, but my router/modem is so far away from my Xbox

There are very long ethernet cables you can buy, as well as things you can use to secure them to walls if you don’t want them running along the floor. You can even predetermine a path you’d like the cable to run along, measure the length of that path, and then get the appropriate length cable.

my Xbox is on the first floor of my house and my router/modem is on the second floor, so idk if there’s an Ethernet cable long enough for my scenario

You’d be surprised.

I own all my own equipment including my cable modem. On my setup I run wireless. I have a good router that runs all available bands. I use the 5ghz band because I have no interference from neighbors, etc. running on that band. Down side It doesn’t go through walls as well as 2.4ghz. I have 2ms of delay difference between wired and wireless (not detectable for a human it’s so little). My router is 40ft away from my xbox. Here’s some info you should check out HowToGeek if you are interested in testing how much latency you’re getting. Although you will have to have a PC or Laptop that’s to test it.
Save some money and trouble shoot before buying something that’s wasting your money. Like I said above, that’s probably the reason. I’m getting the same problems off and on, there’s nothing wrong with my setup, I normally have no problems at all.
