I just recorded a clip of a capture the flag match where I had a BR and came across a player who was AFK. I’ve been having a really hard time enjoying the game for the reason that it seems other people’s bullets do more damage than mine.
So I decided to test out that theory. I got real close to the AKF guy, put my reticule right on his face, and started firing. Wanna know how many shots it took to kill him?

4 shots dropped his shields, and it took 2 bursts from the BR to the head to kill him…

Hell yes, I knew I wasn’t crazy. I feel you bro, I’ve been having the exact same problems…and I have fiber optic internet.
It could be server related or we could be playing people from other countries…
The issue is most likely server wide as with any new game lag is to be expected due to the load the servers are currently taking. This should soon subside i had some initially and now it seems smooth sailing. Also for anyone who wants to have an rough reading of your internet speed then check HERE.
I have also had a hard time enjoying the game, Im glad im not the only one. I really couldnt seeit being lag. i know i win firefights 8 out of 10 times in halo. I have been playing Halo since Halo 2. I really started to believe that i sucked at console games(being as i went back to PC for a few years). I went back and played Halo 3 i had positive KD and good spread and guys dropped from the BR in 3-4 headshots.i went back to Reach Positive KD guys dropped from the DMR in 3-4 headshots. I was really beginning to hate MP in Halo 4. I love Halo, but i dont know, 343 needs to fix the lag. Bungie was really good at very minimal lag in their Halo games, even under high stress load!
i am 12 up and 1.46 down. experience lag also but it seems to be at higher stress times like you would expect. i do not think that it is my connection. i use a cat 7 cable to direct connect and i do not have issues when i play battlefield 3 (which i play a lot ) and i had no issues with halo reach.

i actually went and played again after i posted this and wa sgettin g,ultikills and positive games and was actuallyeven carrying my team for a few games. I go back and play at night when there were more people and it was lag fest all over again! i guess ill only be able to play at certain times till 343 get better servers or less people start playing. I really liked this game alot when it was running smoothly!
I lag once in a blue moon but it seems to only BTB if it does happen, after the match I start a new search and 99 percent of the time join a match with no lag that is noticeable on my end.
